Oil drained and refilled with 6.5 litres.... Thanks for advice chaps. What an absolutely crap idea to have no dipstick and a glitchy electronic sensor though! Apart from that I love my z4 :driving:

Thanks gents..... To update I just took it out for a good 10 miles just to make sure it was up to optimal temp... And the level is now reading all 5 bars... Doesn't read over so all looks good and it's done driving great :thumbsup:

Evening all... So changed my oil today. Let it drain from sump for a good while, and suctioned out oil filter residue. I drained out a little over 5 litres and the dash sensor before read 3 bars. So my query is.... I've stuck nearly 8 litres in now and the dash level still reads 3 bar...

Hi all.... Had the emissions light on my dash come on the other day. Stayed on for a couple of days, and after a Sunday drive it's now gone out. Has anyone had this happen before and is it something I should get checked out? or could it just be little use from previous owner and I've blown...

Newbie here... Got my z4 yesterday.. Driving today and the engine symbol light came on:(... All runs fine so I'm guessing a faulty sensor perhaps.. But would rather invest in a code reader that can reset too rather than take it somewhere, if there any available at sensible money... Any...

Thanks you friendly bunch!... Fabric hood cleaner/protector treatment being applied as we speak.... Will get wheels refurbed ASAP I think before new tyres... Going for either Goodyear f1 or continental sports:)

Evening all. Just thought I'd say hi. After weeks of snooping on here I finally got myself a nice 2.5i 2006, very tidy and stock. Pics will follow once I've run the jet wash over her! I did want to ask one thing though... This has all Bridgestone run flats on, And the ride is pretty harsh...
