Best code reader that resets?

Newbie here... Got my z4 yesterday.. Driving today and the engine symbol light came on:(... All runs fine so I'm guessing a faulty sensor perhaps.. But would rather invest in a code reader that can reset too rather than take it somewhere, if there any available at sensible money... Any recommendations? Thanks in advance

welcome, do a search on here as its a hot topic, most of us bmw software on a laptop as this gives you more options than just a code reader. look up SSS v32, Dis v57, INPA or NCSexpert for the software.

The cheapest option is a Bluetooth OBD Scanner as found here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_f...BD+bluetooth.TRS0&_nkw=OBD+bluetooth&_sacat=0
and Torque App for Android to use on your phone, the free version will do but the Pro version won't break the bank at £2.95: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.prowl.torque&hl=en_GB

You canBMC Z monitor everything that the ECU will reveal through the OBD with this kit.

I was under the impression that torque didn't work as well with beemers as other cars... Can it read all fault codes and reset them? I've already got the Pro app and OBD reader from years ago but still not got round to plugging it in the z
