In these days I got the chance to take a roof EKG from a rather new BMW M8 convertible (F91).RobbiZ4 said:

No. As initially written, we are talking about a self developed package of hardware tools, which can be combined in different setups to support each BMW convertible from Z8 up to i8 RoadsterCyntraxx said:Is this available for someone like ME?

Written this 2 years ago, I got in contact with a M8 owner whose trunk lift didn't work anymore.RobbiZ4 said:In these days I got the chance to take a roof EKG from a rather new BMW M8 convertible (F91).
It had no faults, but I was able to take a reference chart of all roof and trunk functions.
This is, once again, a very impressive piece of technology, which will run into spooky faults in it's age of 10-15 years. 8)
Even the hydraulic trunk lid lift is managed by the hydraulic pump of the roof!

Hey Robbi, Thanks for sharing this. Any chance of getting a parts list for building this jumper PCB, or even purchasing one from you. I've got an E89 with roof trouble. Initially it was complaining about a left shield shell 2 failure. However, when I looked for voltage on the signal side it was fine. I replaced the relays and ended up getting 3 new errors. The boot is open and the roof is shut. The most valued advantage is, that with the help of the jumpers on the green board, I can replace an internal faulty component of the roof with an external attached, working component (microswitch, hallsensor).

I.e. if a wire to a microswitch in the roof shell is broken, I just pull the jumper of the corresponding channel and place an external microswitch (MS) on the board.
When I switch this external MS manually when required in the roof moving process, the non working roof can be driven into each required position for future repairs.
This PCB plus the coloured jumpers can be bought on eBay from kdm-online:Hey Robbi, Thanks for sharing this. Any chance of getting a parts list for building this jumper PCB, or even purchasing one from you.
