Software update available.

After giving previous advice when other members have faced problems, embarrassingly I am now having a problem. :(

Down loaded the most recent update onto the App which paired happily with the car. The car says it is prepared to accept the download and I will be informed when ready. That was over a week ago.

As with previous issues, I deleted the App on the phone and downloaded a new one. I even deleted my profile and created a new one using the same details which did work before but to no avail. The upgrade will not download onto the car.

While messing about however I have noticed that the dashboard display now shows the current and average MPG and there is a blue battery symbol that I have not noticed before?
 
Gave up after three downloads since January failed to install in the car. Just got the car back from service today and the dealer updated the software to version 03/2023.37 :thumbsup: :driving:
 
I’ve uploaded to the car twice but still hasn’t told me it’s ready to install! Mentioned it when in for service in February but dealership not that helpful unfortunately. I was advised to wait for the car to tell me when it’s ready. :(
 
Just had my car in for service, and the car is asking for the download. I've downloaded it to my phone, but im having difficulty transferring / connecting the phone to the car.
SO.
I politely asked the service chap, if they could do it for me, and was told, as i had downloaded it to phone they couldn't do it, now i have to say i didn't have my phone on me at the time...So im now stuck between a rock and a hard place,,.. :headbang: :headbang:

May bee it give it a more concerted effort to connect the phone to the car. :?
 
I have not noticed any difference with the new upgrade installed but I have only driven a few miles home from the dealer. Will feed back any noticeable changes and enhancements once I get a chance to drive it a bit more. :driving:
 
I have been getting a message that the navigation system is updating for about 2 weeks now. Admittedly I haven’t been doing any long journeys but have done about 200 miles.

Don’t know if it’s just a big automatic update or there is a fault.

I also noticed the blue battery symbol, which I’m sure wasn’t there before?
However, its to do with the instant and av mpg reading and shows at the bottom of the scale when the car enters regenerative battery charging when braking etc.

Blue battery has always been there in comfort (or Eco) can be configured out by choice of display.

When blue battery there no rev counter

Now just have to sort out the annoying message I have had for the last 3 weeks now as above post. still happening and can't stop or get rid of it. :x
 
Annoying message now sorted :D

Rang the connected drive team who told me to start the engine, hold the radio button down for at least 45 seconds (Doesn't matter if the radio is on or off) and the Navigation system reboots.
 
New software update appeared on my phone last night and updated without issue.

Not sure what this latest one does.
 
Had the notification but the last two updates never worked. Will be interesting if this does as I am already a couple behind.

Going in for it's first MOT in July so if not, will get them to do it.
 
For the whole time I have owned my G29, despite having connected drive and downloading upgrades via the App on my phone, it has never worked. The dealership has had to do it for me.

Last week my connected drive ended, yet for some reason, this latest upgrade has downloaded onto the App without any input from me and yesterday when I got into the car, the download started on the car and is now complete all automatic with no help from me.
