Z's tracking at Willow Springs Feb 7th

LOL, i'm curious....that objects in mirror are loosing....is that photoshopped or can i actually buy a sticker that says that?

I'm glad the track was dry for ya'll. Saturday sucked for me. The whole track was like a skidpad. I'd just barely depress the gas pedal and the back end would start sliding. The stopped the session at lunch thanks to weather. Sunday was better though.

Glad to see ya'll had a fun time! I know it's expensive but I'd love to get ya'll here for a run a spring mountain motorsports ranch one day.

Looks like you guys had some very good time there!!! Hopefully next time it will be dry and I'll be able to join you... I would love to test out the SC on the track :driving: :driving:
 
So what other catchy numbers (like 808) did ya'll use?

I'm kinda thinking of something for myself....24 is always picked at the spring mountain track :cry: I don't really like 23. A friend at work suggested using a police code for high speed chase, but I think that's a bit vague....

Sorry Matt it's a photoshop job. Just having a bit of fun with Btotoro. I was not to have a camera inside the car and those were the only pic I had that sorta worked.

We are thinking to get with Speed Ventures and get a session for Z's only, if we do not get enough Z's , we would open it up to other BMW's.

Sounds like a plan, working on a Z session as we speak.

How did Saturday go? how does your car feel with the s/c?

btotoro came up with the 808 ( BOB ), we were not to use more than one (1) or one (7).

You were braking later going into turn 1 than I was. I see bigger brakes in the future for me and better tires. ( can't get them on the straights kick their tail in the curves ) hahaha

I was pretty satisfied with the "M" brakes, I thought It had plenty of stopping power and allowed me to brake later and faster. If anything, I'll probably just switch to better brake pads & fluid, maybe try out "axxis".

Replacing the CDV was quick and easy... Well, I got soaked because it was raining... Vin said he noticed the difference and he was happy with it.

The SC literally transformed the Z3 in a new car. I'm really impressed by it. I'm actually still working on a couple things to improve the look of the engine bay, but the car is up and running strong.

Well, if you're interested you can do this on your Z4 and have the E46 330i brake setup (325 front and 320 rear compared to your current 300 front 294 rear). We can look for one at the junkyard in SD where I got my brakes... And if you need to dispose your current brakes, I might be able to help as I'm sure the wife wouldn't mind bigger brakes on her Z4... eheheh...
 
I will most likely replace brakes as is and when I need rotors make the canage at that time. :driving:

I wanted to get a feel of what the track was all about before I got a big group at an event. I am working on getting a group rate and put on a full session of just Z's. That would be 4-5 25 minute sessions through out the day for a better price than normal. I do not know how many Z's needed to do a session or the price as yet. It's a work in progress. Speed Ventures is on of the few that allow roadsters. :thumbsup: I will try for the event in Sept I believe. Helmets is all you will need other than an instection of your car and some cash.

CalRick is going in April, however it is during the week and not on a weekend.

I'm signing up to do Laguna in April - you guys should do a trial run there if you can make a mid-week event; at least the price is friendly. If there are any other Z's around who might be interested, a group of 5 gets a small price break

Looks like fun! The east cost Zs should get together at VIR for some fun.
