Z's tracking at Willow Springs Feb 7th

There is a group of the SoCalZ's going to Willow Springs on Saturday Feb 7th. We will be running Big Willow.

Palantirion also has a trainer ( simulator ) in the house that has this track on it and it gives a whole different perspective on the track. You feel the bumps in the track and really get some very forgiving time on the track to pratice lines and hitting the corners correctly. I for one am looking forward to the day out.

I used to race my motorcycle there. Let me know if you want any hints about the track...
Maybe I'll drive out there and hang out with you guys. Any info on cost to participate? What time are you arriving? If I don't join in, maybe I'll bring my camera and take some pictures.
Great track! Very high speed and not a lot of braking besides turn one, three and nine! 4b is the trickiest to get right...but I've got some good tips if you want them... :evil:

must have been spring as the plants are still green kinda.

that's actually coming out of 4a around the budweiser balcony!
I think it was actually in July, 2005 if my memory serves me correctly, which it usually doesn't!

Hints: sure I'm a virgin, I will have an instructor for the first two sessions. I have been doing laps on Earls simulator which has Big Willow on it, i've made hundreds of laps on it. Come on out and bring a camera, I get to sensor them first,right. hahaha $10 bucks to get in the gate for everyone. We will be there by 6:00 or very close to it. Speedventures is putting this one on.

The bio masses between the steering wheel and the peddles keep the shinny side up. There was one the had all four wheels off and one had two off, all is well in Z land.

We had light rain in the morning two times and once in the afternoon. The rain did not last long and the track dried quickly. Still it made for a very diverse day of driving. Who ever said you can't teach old dogs new tricks was wrong. The temps never got above 56 degs. What a great day of learning and finding limits. I was a bit conserned about the day at first ( as I was under threat of loosing life as I knew it by Robyn ). The first 3 sessions I had an instructor and quickly found out that I control how fast I drive and where I drive fast was controlled by me. Just wave the faster cars by and when I felt ready, then I would take the wave by. Everyone had a good day and was happy they came.

I had one bully showing ///M power at work.
