Z4MC - Silver/Grey - Gone :-(

Yeah they did, Carbon black with CSLs on it. Was an ex members car from here he traded it for a new M3 and got a great trade in for it.

The Zed didn't hang around long either, a few weeks tops. You should try the P&J too, I think you'll be surprised, remember where you are people pay a premium for cars.

And get it on PH too, its free at the end of the day.

Cheers Daz, I have considered the P&J so will look into that!

it was on PH but the advert expired and I was waiting till after the service to put a new one up.

Correct me if im wrong but this is the 'Buy and Sell' forum ye???? :? :? :?

So why has there been an awful lot of 'oooooh you wont get that for it, or its a bit overpriced isn't it?'

If ye dont want to buy it then wish him luck tell him its a nice car and keep ye bleedin opinions to yourself :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Because that's what happens in most for sales posts on here, so why change a good thing :P

To be honest I don't mind the chat that's on the thread, although some of the earlier ones I'd like to be deleted as they are commenting on when I first posted it and at the higher price, they are not to reflect it's current price which might be misunderstood

I do appreciate other members opinions but it's not to say I'm going take them and change because they are saying so, I have a bottom price and this is it, I've just spent £1000 on the car with tyres/tax/service and if it doesn't go at this price then it's not going!
Like I say I have a garage, and it can be taken of the road and wrapped up till next year, when I'll decide to either keep it (probably) or put it back up for sale. The main reason it was going was to maybe free up some funds, as I'm getting married in a couple of months, and added that the other half has a TT, I was looking for something bigger.

I think that given that the market for cars like these has slowed down dramatically at the moment (speaking as a seller as well as a buyer) then discussions around the price of this particular car are justified. Yes, there were some slightly awkward comments earlier on, but the thread has moved on. In selling my Z3MR on another forum I have asked for opinions and had a similar kind of debate, albeit I started a separate thread from the advert.

Keeps the thread active anyway!

Once again K1MAC, very best of luck with the sale. Perfect car for me apart from the red interior, if I sell the Z3 and you still have the car I'll be in touch.

K1Mac, why don't you put the TT up for sale too and see which goes first? Unless you want to keep it for sure?

Your price is spot on, but unfortunatly people (and as you know including me :) ) aren't willing to pay market rate. it just sucks. :(

So is my suggestion feasible for you?

it would be but she has got quite attached to her TT, she wanted one for so long and is enjoying having the little 'sports' car before she's 'forced' to have something, a little more practical, with proper back seats and 4 doors

So I'm not going to deny her that, as when that time comes I can justify it by saying 'we both don't need to have child friendly cars' and still be able to have whatever I want  (that's the plan anyway, whether is works like that or not I don't know  )

added with the fact that I actually do miss having a bigger car and as I'm re-building my 'show car' AGAIN I'd like something that I can handle transporting stuff in if need be

Ignore the crap from people trying to knock your price down. Put yoursel in the position of a buyer looking for a silver grey well equiped Z4MC with a red interior. How much of a premium are you prepared to pay for that spec which looks fantastic. I would be happy to pay top price to get that under those conditions.

If you need a quick sale then by all means give it away but at £17K it looks cheap enough for you to just wait for a buyer to come along who values the spec and condition of this car.

You say you need to sell the car so you will get chancers coming along hoping to steal it from you. Nobody in their right might is going to compare this with a roadster or a cat D.

All the best.

When I'm in a position to own one of these cars again...and that could be a while...it'll be an MC in silver/grey. Hold firm there must be a buyer out there!

have been looking at it's replacements quite a bit and they have changed a few times, but the annoying thing is that I've missed out on a couple of belters as trade in's weren't an option or they were chancers.

this car has baffled me, without question the best car I've owned for Condition/Performance/handling/looks/reliability/etc and yet it's been the longest I've ever had a car up for sale without it going!

but as you say tjlazer, there must be a buyer out there, great shame if there isn't as then it just gets tucked away in the garage

I completely agree, yours should have gone a long time ago, but if it's any consolation I'm getting little interest in mine either. Maybe it's the colour scheme. What's a shame is that if I don't sell mine I'm going to abandon my "I'll never track it" rule and spend the next year beasting it on track days up and down the country  Well, it's a shame for the next owner - I'm sure I'll love it!

Out of interest was talking to my dealer today, partly as i've been tempted to get something more sensible if the price was right and want a bit of a lifestyle change. Mine has 64k miles now and if I traded it in they'd actually look at giving it to another trader to sell apparently(non-BMW dealer) - to many miles/poor market for relative high miler. And the trade-in price they offered was £12,200 ! And no, the price was not right :)

It's a tough market out there and if your car still hasn't sold after a month and a half then it's obvious that it's not quite hitting the right buttons with people.

If I were you and could stomach the hit, I'd lower the price by £1000 and list it at £15,995. This will be below the important psychological £16k mark and will certainly seem appealing. The problem you have with your car is that it doesn't have a Tracker or Warranty which is something I would definitely want on a Performance car. Maybe this is the differentiator that buyers want. And remember winter is rapidly approaching...... :(

If all else fails, there's always http://www.webuyanycar.com any any any....... :D

Good luck with the sale.

Ok. But I assume that you would agree that a Tracker would help a car sell... :?

Didn't stop me selling mine. Didn't stop mynamesnotbob selling his. Warranty can be taken out on a FBMWSH car too so I'm not sure your point has much credence.

What psychological 16k mark. A golf GTI is 25isk K new, if there is a mark it's more like 20k

Tracker - pish!! Mines fitted and deactivated, not used one for last 7 years of M ownership, not worth it.
