Z4MC Ruby Black £14500

After four years under my care I have put my much loved Z4m on the market. I've not long bought a house a bit further from work and need a four door, four wheel drive of some sort. After some careful man maths (I made a post about this) I cant quite justify keeping this and something else.

After a considerable amount of research I think this price is realistic (after reducing it from 17200 to 14500). Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

2007. Ruby Black. Bicolour red / black seats. Extended leather. 86000 miles.

More than happy to answer any questions.

The car is based about 15 minutes from Edinburgh Airport.

It may pay to mention it’s a coupe, as I was thinking it was a lot of money until I looked at the add, now I understand the price.

Might just be me, but I think that's quite cheap?

Ahh if only that were the case. The only comparable is one sitting with a similar colour and mileage for similar money. Mine is an individual colour adding a premium. Its also the only one for sale in Scotland (usually adds a £1k premium). The similar example has sat there a long time... while in no rush to sell (after 4 years it still makes me smile) I also don't want to sit on it for a year (we will likely need another seat by then) so all balanced out I think I have priced it to sell "sometime in the next 3 months". Feels like I am putting a loved pet up for adoption though...

Hi. Were thr valve clearances done on the recent inspection 1? Do you have the valve clearance report?

Hi Llyamah. The inspection was indeed performed at the recent inspection 1 (this should be performed every 'inspection'). They didn't supply a valve clearance report - its done by M3 Motor Co in Bathgate. They are an indie with probably the best reputation in Scotland for looking after //M's. Feel free to give me a shout if you have any further questions here, via email or text.

Thanks Bombardino - ad updated to include this and the latest valve clearances.

Price reduced to 15k.

At this point the difference between this sale price and the next car is widening enough to justify keeping it and getting another car. This makes me oddly quite happy!

Damn, I've been keeping my eye out for the right coupe for ages - looking more at the 3.0 because I don't think I can afford to run the M (and the initial price difference is usually too big)! But I'm in Edinburgh and this looks like real value for money!! Though still don't think I could afford the maintenance of an M car just yet! Best of luck with the sale - surprised it's not been snapped up already!

It's not cheap! Its remarkably good value!

Let's see how she faires at this price. I went out a walk today and walking by it she still strikes a chord in me that made me question its sale.

Kic_mic more than happy to take you out for a blast in it and discuss running costs. Even if you aren't going to buy - I've got so much from this forum in the last few years and I'm happy to give at least something back. I used to run an e46 325 with the m54 engine. You might be surprised how little the premium for running the m coupe over the m54 is. Genuine offer!

I’ve had the si and now I’ve an M and I can’t see much or any difference in running costs so Best Buy it at that price, just think how much the Z3 m coupe is worth now

I would absolutely love that mate, really kind of you - would be good to have a decent idea of the running costs etc and get an idea of the difference between them!

Will drop you a PM.

If I had the money I'd have gone for a Z3 M coupe over any of them - one of my dream cars but just becoming silly!

But that's good to know - will have a good think about them!

Just want to give this a bump - I took Gaijiniji up on his offer to go and take a drive and talk about numbers! Car drove brilliantly and is a great spec - incredible car for the money!

Thanks again for all your help mate and I'll be in touch soon - working out the numbers...

Good to meet you Mike and thanks for the bump.

Let me know how you get on with your search for a 3.0. Looking forward to seeing a build thread with the plans you have for it!

You may also wish to do a feature on the other car you have in the family. It's not for me to say what it is but I need to witness that in the flesh!

The car is still available. Advertising on ebay has been an interesting experience...

A 87k mint ZMC at £14500 ?
For reference my neighbour sold his 85k / mint condition silvergrey ZMC for £14k 4 years ago :? its been a rollercoaster period with at times eyewatering figures asked for average cars but the market appears to have turned full circle :?
Great looking car op , at your current ask it should make someone very happy indeed
