Anyone know of this car before on here? I'm going to look at it tomorrow, looks a nice spec and kind of what I'm looking for.

Thanks

Nathan

Don't know the car but the CSL wheels look genuine, and looks a nice car. Obviously you'll need to check the service history etc.

....and obviously lose the tacky "CSL" badge from the rear.

For reference i just bought a 42k miler in ruby black with champagne interior for £15.5k. So given you could probably do a bit of a deal and this has arguably a bit better combo and CSL's, its not all too badly priced.

Thanks, I had a CSL between 2005 and 2009, so kind of laughed when I saw the badge, surprised it's stayed on, my L was always falling off!!!

I'll take a look at it and see how it stacks up. Anything specific to the Z4MC that I should be checking?

I saw that one last week whilst browsing. Almost the same as mine, albeit mine has 2k more on the clock.

If I was listing mine tomorrow (not that I am!) - I'd be pricing it at £17k. I know it seems high, but mine has aero skirts & CSLs (two highly desirable value adding mods), transferable warranty, clean bill of health from main dealer inspection etc and is in tip top condition. So £17k seems reasonable in the current market.

Given the (apparently) genuine CSLs, and assuming condition is good, I'd say the price is ok on this one.

Yeah price seems ok. I just paid £17k a few weeks ago for mine. And it has 51k miles on it.

Car looks great, nice colour combo, nice wheels and seems like it's in tip top condition in the pics.

I happened to see this car yesterday while browsing Range Rovers. We had a joke because I said I was selling my Z4M on here and he was relieved he didn't have to do a part ex as this at was proving troublesome to shift. I think there's a deal to be done - good luck.

It's gonna be hard to shift at £18,000.

£16 k would see it gone..

As would £11k, but doesn't mean that's its market value :poke:

.............at was proving troublesome to shift............ the dealers words not Z4M-2006

I think its too high outside the BMW AUC scheme - http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/bmw/z4m-roadster/z4m-coupe-3-2-2dr/2717980 - 16.5 k would seem a fairer price for a non AUC car- but we will see.

Its market value isn't £18000 though is it, or it would have sold..

To get £18k for a Z4MC nowadays it has to have very low miles or be in a desirable colour combo..

This example has neither going for it..

Possibly, but then Z4M's can take a while to sell, not a huge amount of buyers. DannyG is testament to that.

Without CSLs, I think this would be a £17k car, with CSLs £17.5k is probably a fair price.

At £16k (trade) you're really looking at a 60k car (browsing PH at present and over the past few months).

FWIW, "very low miles" will achieve £20k+....not necessarily quickly, but it will achieve it.

If you think trade money for that car is 16k then your wayyy off the mark...Low £13000 is where the trade values it...

£20,000 for all of the best of the best is way off the mark too...Perhaps Hexagon could try it on,but lets face it they rarely sell there stock.

Its a black car (worst colour for Z4M) with lowish miles....the CSL's and aero skirts make it desirable to the right man,but it just looks expensive if you look at the stock availaible..

There is nothing that special about the car to demand a high price... Thats why the dealer has it stuck up his arse...

Haven't seen a 60k car advertised at £13k for a long time. Maybe that's a dealer would offer as a part-ex, but not when selling.

Not sure if you actually follow what's going on in the market but a fair few cars have sold for £20k+ over the past 6 months, I'm not going to trawl through the ads to dig them out, but DannyG sold his not too long ago advertised at £25k!

I've followed the market fairly closely since I started looking 2 years ago, the prices are only strengthening.

2 years back a 50k car would have been advertised, on average, around £15k....£16.5 - £17k for a private sale of the same car is pretty common now, and they're selling.

I follow the market very closely.... I have also bought and sold 4 x Z4's .....3 of them being M cars..

The trade values the car at low 13k's....Thats not to sell, thats to buy or offer px... They obviously have to sell for more..Thats there job.

Remind me again about DannyG's car.... Was that the Sepang bronze car with low miles ?? If so,then i can understand the pricing...Great colour with low miles.... Although didnt he buy it a lot cheaper and then advertise high ??

Like i said earlier......Rare colours and low miles will always demand a premium... common colours wont as well as anything over 40k miles.Ok,it will add a little more money, but not grands on top...

The best thing for the car in discussion would be to sell the CSL's of the 224's are available and sell the aero skirts... That will release £1500 hopefully...
Then try and sell the car at £15,995... He might have a chance then...

I think prices have steadied.... Im not sure about going up,Paza bought his interlaos coupe, decent history and a 60k mileage for car £11,000...... What does that say ?

Tell the guy who sold him that how good the market is...

We may have to agree to disagree.

When I said trade, I didn't mean "trade value", but a "trade" listed advert....i.e an advert will be either a private or trade seller.

Yes, DannyG's was arguably one of the nicer around, he bought for >£20k and sold on for a decent profit a few months after, DannyG is effectively attempting to deal in them, he did the same with his Silver Grey Z4MC (sold for £19k). Either way, shows that good cars demand a premium higher than £18k.

Paza's car shows that he bought a car that required £3.5k to be spent on it. There will always be cheap cars available, that's the nature of used cars, but the cheapest car available doesn't dictate market price.

There could be a number of reasons for the seller selling cheaply....need of a quick sale, naivety, condition of a car, lack of service history etc.

Anyway, as I said. Agree to disagree.

Paza's motor has 17k miles between services, an more than 2years in time. Perhaps that's why it was £11k
