Without the socks though![]()
I know where you'll be able to get a rebuilt ///MR somewhat cheaper than the vendor anticipated very soon. Although it will take more than a quick wash to get rid of the stench of bullshit! :evil:Woots said:Love this place hahaha!!

Nictrix said:Not wanting to cause a fight or an argument but if this is not recorded as a Cat C/D and has been repaired to a standard that no damage can be found where exactly is the problem other than the OP not saying it had been repaired?
If FR08MEE had not posted about his damage and had it repaired himself nobody would know at all.
There must be loads of cars out there that have been involved in accidents and repaired by insurance therefor not on any database as being a writeoff.
Lots of people could be selling cars that they do not even know had been previously repaired by a previous owner.
This has got to be a flaw in the whole system and surely ANY damage that has been repaired should be logged somewhere.
There is a very fine line between a car being a write off and being repaired.
My wifes 1989 MR2 was rear ended, she told the repairers that she did not want it written off and somehow it was repaired.
The insurance company were not at all happy as the cost was around £2300 (almost the value of the car) but we were happy.
Now this would not have been on any database as far as I know and was repaired with absolutely no visible damage so we did not advise anybody about the repairs when we sold it.
Were we wrong to do this?
