jimmybell said:Flash Chrome looks good! Silver cars can pull off silver wheels much better than other colours though.. you could even go brilliant silver with a gloss effect! And Silver also is one of the few that can pull off the carbon front lip too. Sadly i'm not sure there are any colour mods i can do to my car. tempted to carbon wrap the wingmirrors.. and paint calipers - but what colour do you paint calipers on a red car, without going yellow and making it all ferrari-ish?!
I dont like anything darker than Shadow Chrome personally, especially on OEM cars.

My fave design of the z4 is the boot lid, that lil flick at the back
On further note Byron I studied that thread in detail....is there any forum you aren't a member of?

There's a black M for sale on AT with an Alpina spoiler. TBH I don't like it - it doesn't really go with the facelift lights and M bumper. But that's just IMO.

I'd be tempted to jjust upgrade brakes and get nice calipers as a byproduct, but i always have trouble justifying the price of a full brake upgrade.. OEMs really aren't that bad.
ZermattV - go Flash Chrome and Carbon Lipwill look great i think.

Well... Funny you should mention the full brake upgrade, as if you were to look closely, the white text actually says AP racing. And as beedub will confirm they are leaps and bounds ahead of the stock setup, literally makes your eyeballs fall out when used in anger![]()
DO IT!!!

they are incredible..... whoever rides in my car, whatever they comment on.. the brakes is one of the subjects that come up time and time again......... the hotter they get, the better they get.....
one of my all time best purchases EVER.... i will never own another fast car without a similar braking setup.... the rotors go a lovely blue color when you using them i anger, i love them....
parts are painfully expensive however![]()

i need to do a track day to see where the limits lie...
dont want to try mine or the cars limits on the road
even a big empty car park would be a start
jimmybell said:I'm with woots - i need more pushing the car to the limit experience! Track day insurance is a pig for only a few hours driving![]()

The only downside of (most) airfields is the usual hard wearing concrete surface. You can easily go through a set of tyres in less than an hour (well I did at Elvington in my M5 on Pirelli P-Zeros). Doing this probably doesn't help their lifespan though...BMWZ4MC said:Airfield trackdays are a good place to start as they're cheap and pretty safe with loads of run off and no significant changes in camber or pitch. http://www.motorsport-events.com are mainly around Oxfordshire and Wiltshire and run open pit lane trackdays for about £100 a day. They're very well marshalled and often have a separate area to explore the handling of your car on a slalom course.
