I wonder if I could have you thoughts on this. I have a 2008 08 BMW Z4M with 35,000 miles one the clock. I was driving the car the other day when the engine cut out at a junction. When I restarted the car the DSC Warning Light, The ABS Warning Light and the Tyre Pressure Control Warning Light all came on (yellow).
I booked it into my local BMW Garage (I have the extended warranty but with a £100 excess) to look. They have just phoned me back after looking at it. Apparently there is nothing wrong with the car and they were asking if the battery had ever went flat. The answer is no but they have said the battery was run down slightly which might have caused the error lights to come on. I have asked if I need a new battery and they have said the tests carried out show that it is charging and holding its charge so no.
My slight gripe is that they are charging me £96 pounds (just under the price of the warranty) for finding nothing wrong with the car which I feel is a bit on the high side for a quick diagnostic.
What do you think? Also, if I do need a new battery what sort of price should I be paying?
Thanks in advance
