Z4M Suspension settings questions after refurbishment.

All fitted now

Will be driving to work and then on to Newcastle under Lyme tomorrow

Maybe a run into the peak district over the weekend

Going to replace all the front bolts in the near future

Found the the Z4M ones easier to change than my 120d M sport ones

Also please note you do NOT need any spring compressor tools with the B12 kit when you use the springs in the kit, probable just about manage with out if two people doing it with the standard set up.

Forgot to say the old dampers where just about had it.

Rears very little resistance in either direction of travel, front a little better but not great

Milage was 83,000

Looks like the rear top mounts had been changed already I still fitted new ones, front all looked original, with the exception of the H & R springs

So some questions ref geo set up

So the spec is B12 shocks all round with the Eibach springs which lowers the car at the front by 20mm and the rear by 10mm

I have found a tyre company with a Hunter alignment set up that are prepared to align it to number and not the reg plate or model or the car

First set is to go tomorrow with the car and have a free check to see where it now sits the car has now covered around 300 mile since I fitted the kit so it should have bedded in if it indeed does bed in.

I have searched the forum for guidance on the best geo settings and front camber comes up a few times further research and Turner motorsport do a shim kit to change the front camber (it is a set of 12mm washers and some new 10.9 M12 bolts) I have ordered some bolts and washers just in case I need to make this adjustment.

There is also talk of using the CSL settings now I am not sure what these are so could someone let me know that these are or the full details of the car so the alignment machine knows what they are.

Does any one have a set of figures that suits the Z4M with a B12 kit fitted

It is a few years since I played with my Westfield's set up so could do with a little bit of help in the right direction

Drove the car around the High Peak area Saturday and around the Bowland forest area Sunday and it feels OK with good turn in and a very neutral feel in to mid corner and possible oversteer on the way out if that makes sense as it is public roads and don't want to be facing the wrong way out of a corner.

Do these cars want to be run parallel at the front or toe in/out?

Thanks in advance will post up the as found settings when I get chance tomorrow or Wednesday

Well the first company could not get the alignment gear on do to the car having tyres fitted with a slightly high profile than it should have. so off to Kwickfit they had already said they would only do one free check and would not adjust to my supplied settings I need to find another company that will adjust it to a set of settings rather than the standard settings.

Any recommendations in the M30 area of Manchester or all of Manchester failing that it is one weekend and an Indy in Grimsby if his gear fits inside the wheel arches.
