Z4M Roadster uber cheap!

If that's cheap gents what about this?

I think the seller may be telling porkies on this one TBH.

It hasn't been in a crash but it has missed its running in service. They will offer their own warranty but as the Dragons say, I'm out.

BMW dealer here just offered £15k part ex for my 2006 Silver Z4M with 19,600 mile, sat nav, parking sensors, heated seats, full service history etc. Just had new tyres Front discs and service. Two other BMW dealers did'nt want it at all. :(

But why is it so cheap ? need to look at it first

Its called an ecomonic crisis !

Then they would all be that cheap been checking out the london prices of Z4s on BMW UK and they have not dropped that much found one same year as mine not as good spec triple the mileage and had dropped 1k normal for nearly a year.

I think that is the problem, they are either not selling and BMW are hedging their bets and holding on for higher prices from the very rare buyer who isn't market aware, while the Indies can't afford to do that so are letting them move at whatever they can make money on them at. Ie, some turnover at low profit is better than none at all.

Crappy times all round really :(

I just hope I can find a good Z4 for the price I want... some absolute gems around at £12,000, but I've seen similar just a month ago at £10,000... I just hope some more absolute bargains turn up near me :)

I think that any M below 20K is great value - prices have come down on the ragtops, but apparently the coupe's are holding their value and supposedly sell pretty quickly still.

Another bargain. It IS leggy of course, but a 3.0Si with maybe a years warranty left and some haggling room that is a pretty cheap Z4!

If that was closer to me I'd seriously consider it at that price...

Typical BMW dealers. He wants 3-5 months depreciation to make sure when he finally sells he still makes a profit. IMO dealers should TELL you thats whats happening rather than simply claim your car is worth so little. They also need to accept £5k+ profit on every deal is not going to happen in the current climate, and it would be better to sell four cars at £2k a time than one at £5k. By making such low offers they are losing out entirely? The oversupply won't last but while it does, it's a buyers market.

6 weeks ago Wood (again!) invited me in to look at an E92 M3 telling me 'they would let them go for a steal' - they had 4 unregistered cars in stock. They offered me £19,500 for my 06 Z4M (with Nav). I laughed, and he told me thats 'what it's worth, its depreciating £900 a month at the moment'. But

A) If that were to continue, that means it will be worth £10k this time next year?
B) By his logic, surely he accepts the M3 hes trying to sell me at £52k (list £56k) isn't worth even close to that?

He tried to tell me 'there was not that much margin in them' - which clearly is irrelevent even if it were true - you can pick up a 2-3 month old car from £42k on the AUC and a 57 plate for £34k. Thats why they have had a red Z4MR for over 9 months (unregistered, started at £46k, currelty at £32k I think) and a grey E92 M3 for almost the same amount of time...

See above!

What crazes me is my local BMW dealer Coopers of Norwich sold me the car and now they dont want it back as a trade in. No customer or BMW brand loyalty there. :x

I think maybe the areas where we live have a huge impact. I live in kent near Tunbrudge Wells and when I picked up my Z4 2 weeks ago there were 8 cars being picked up that day, including a Z4M coupe that had stood onthe forecourt for 1 week before being sold (I'd looked at this car at when it came in and was shocked to see it being picked up so soon!).

When I've been back since, there seems to be still a steady stream of cars being bought.

However, the area is afluent and a lot of the money is older money, not necessarily impacted so directly. In Canary Wharf where I work, they are finding it harder - younger people whose job security is really affecting their purchasing abaility.

What I would not wanting to be selling right now is an old shape M3 - my brother in law is doing this - he has lost at least 12K in 1 year!

It really almost is better value for money to buy an M!

And for sale at a place with a pretty mixed reputation...but that could be a steal!

Ms are amazing value right now but the servicing should be considered, I've got an Insp1 due and the best quote so far is £771 :headbang:

Thats more than a 911

What prices are these cars in Kent going for? IMO there is still a market at the right price but some dealers get it, some don't. Woods serv the Poole/Sandbanks area (highly affluent) yet they seem desperate to shift some Ms...simply because they refuse to discount like many, many other dealers are doing. Whether those dealers are doing it at a loss just to shift some stock is irrelevent to the customer!

I think Coopers where I bought it from are judging it quite well - pricing pragmatically whilst still allowing themselves to give some discount.

But basically, I've seen '06 ragtop M's for about 20K, coupes for a couple more. My 3.0si was just under £17K by the time I'd got a bit of cash off on a 56 plate with 18K miles. Thats less than half list price - which is a bargain in my books.

At the end of the day, I'll always go with a BMW dealer if I can, even if its a bit more, they will sort out anything thats wrong with no hassle - for example, I spotted some minor body damage a week after getting it and they're sorting it with no complaints.

There has been an '08 M Coupe in my local dealers for a few months now. Still hasn't sold! Started at £32,000 and is now £27,850.
Now gone down to £26,850!

i sat in that one a few weeks ago (Sterns is my local dealer from Worcs too) and noticed it had a different DSC+T button to mine.. has a line through it, obviously to rub in that pressing the button turns it off, not on.. wonder if a few people complained after hairy moments.. :driving:
