Well, the rules say you have to state a price, so an auction doesn't really lend itself to that...unless you're willing to share your 'buy it now' price!

But could possibly be less being as it’s an auction 🤔
I don't know much about Z4M Roadster prices, but that sounds low for such a low mileage car.

Should have plenty of interest though - GLWTS

Currently had 22 bids with the highest at £6,400, but still over 6 days to go so good luck OP.

The future buyer could get half of that amount back by just selling the genuine csl’s on the car , didn’t realise how much they’ve risen in value over the years , should of sold them separately now 🙄🙈

Pistonheads auctions can be tough. A lot of cars don't sell. Being an enthusiast website I think many people expect to see cars in top condition.

When putting a car to auction I think the seller has to do all the preparation work. The short MOT with the worrying advisories from last year are really off putting. The car is long overdue a service, needs a new set of tyres, missing headlamp washer, and needing a few paint repairs.

It'll be interesting to see how the auction goes. The wheels are worth good money, but I think that car needs a lot of money spent on it to bring it up to standard.

Hindsights a wonderful thing but as you say you'd have probably been better advertising the CSL'S on here and taking a set of 224's in part-ex - always seems to be plenty looking for the CSL'S.

The future buyer won’t be disappointed it’s in great condition as the photos and video show 👍

I’ll let the buyer take advantage if he wants to sell and cash in 👍

It's way overdue a service. It needs a new set of tyres, the headlamp washer is missing. Various scuffs scrapes and scratches are mentioned. The front bumper looks excessively stone chipped and scuffed. As does the side skirts.

The advert does say the marks and damage commensurate with the age of the car, but people will look at the mileage and expect the condition to be more related to the mileage.

Then there is all the advisories on last year's MOT and the next MOT due in a few weeks.

I think there is a lot of jobs you could have done to help with the auction.

It’s a online auction and so the advertising needs to be as honest as possible, hence describing every single thing on the car , but it’s sold as seen unless the buyer wants to view the car in person (which I would) then it can come over as bit excessive, the bodywork is in really good condition, and typical of this car being lower down than a normal car.

Regarding the mot , this was the first time the car has had advisories , a over zealous tester nit picked everything, the exhausts have never been a issue but the rpi’s exhaust are sold and the original back boxes are back on , not sure what covers were restricting viewing components again never been mentioned before on mots , underside is normal for the age of the car and not an issue an application of anti corrosion paint would suffice.

It’s had new bmw oem brakes discs and pads fitted all round
(Shouldn’t have to say this as it’s on the advert) which have covered less than 1000 miles , all inspection services have been done and not due for 14-15 k miles , a oil and brake service is overdue but the car hasn’t been used.

The auction hasn’t ended yet and Iam happy so far with how’s it going, I think ( maybe biased ☺️) the car looks amazing in the photos and has unusually has not had many previous owners like many of the z4m do.

Think your getting confused with Pistonheads shed of the week
Beerman , which funny enough the e85 zed is mentioned on there facebook page this week

I sometimes feel people can be over critical on the forums so I would not take it to heart. Looks like a nice car. It does feel like the last MOT test was harsh looking back at the previous records

Well done and at £16,348 you weren't far off achieving the buy it now price

Without doubt the mileage and the CSL's will have helped along with the Eventuri but as you said the auctioneers did a great job with the photo's.

The photos were very honest as I said the car is in great condition 👍

Well I'm the buyer!

Not had a Z4 since 2006 so this is quite exciting. Used to be a member on here but couldn't remember username or email.

£16,348 has the auction fees on top. The highest bid was £15,250.
