So guys, Its official I am moving to South Africa with work, 2 year contract means I cant keep the car, even though I have looked into shipping it over there, but it will cost to much and its just not worth it.

So the time has come to Say bye bye, I have had a few people sniffing around for a while, but I thought I would pop it up on here along with Pistonheads to see if it will go to another enthusiast.

This car has been loved i spent mega ££££ on Zaino products in the 18 months that I have owned the car, it is regulary washed, clayed and then coated in 3 different type of Zaino products which gives it the glass effect that you can see in my pictures, these have not been photoshopped in anyway.

First post - Hello....

After unsuccesfully getting Sytners in Leicester to budge from their "bend over while Bubba does you" price for a Z4M I am extremely interested... where abouts in the country are you?

Hi all.

Thanks for the comments. I'm back in London all this week with the car.

I'm based in tooting south west London.

Imr eally suprised by the lack of intrest in the car and Im a little worried.,

Im only in the UK for another 5 weeks.

Do you think I need to lower my price, or are people getting turned off because of the wheels.

any advice chaps would be appreciated.

Wheels don't do it for me on a black car.... I would say you have the price right but if you are desperate to sell drop it to see if you get the interest,,,, not difficult when your travelling between countries but may be better to offer a good deal to secure a sale

Pope I'm seriously interested but I've got to get rid of my 320d first, or find someone who will buy it off me cash - I've just been lazy and not got round to advertising it yet.
I take it you're not interested in a PX? The 320d might be easier to shift in the current climate?

Its a 2007 M Sport coupe (E92) full BMW history and 11 month 3 weeks worth of MOT left.

Also you got any photos of the inside of the car? Wondering what the black extended leather looks like.

GLWTS and good luck in South Africa, what an experience......

......Private security, garrisoned housing and a license to bear arms :D

I was pretty keen on seeing your car when i was looking and if i remember I sent you an email through PH. If it hadnt gone of the market i would have come and seen it.

At 40k If the interior is in good nick with all the plastics tidy etc then you wont get much less than your asking price i wouldnt have thought.

Good luck finding a buyer :)

I personally think its gorgeous, GLWTS and have fun in South Africa!

To be honest I've been watching the market for quite a long time and I'm not surprised it hasn't sold. It's a great spec and clearly looked after, but it only appeals to a hardcore niche in the current climate.

There is also a big difference in what people advertise their cars at and what price they actually sell for, a lot of people on piston heads in particular over value their cars simply because they cherish them so. But it’s actually only worth what someone is prepared to pay…

Prospective buyers of performance cars are increasingly being drawn to the efficiency of turbo solutions - the likes of the Audi TTS is a prime example, all the performance of a Z4M with much better economy, lower tax and emissions.

I recall last year I saw a beautiful Z4M with a little over 5k on the clock, identical high spec to yours go for 14K... and that's just the way the market is.

I suspect you may have to let it go for less than you would like - particularly if you want it all tied off and dealt with in a hurry.

Have you asked the dealers for a price yet? I suspect it may be around the 10k mark!!

well that was a depressing read. :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: especially in someones for sale thread.

indeed.

I would delete the lot, rename the thread as 'poorly washing machine, advice wanted' and start again after that last post.

To be fair, the OP did post this, therefore comments in respect of the price are justified.

They clearly didn't try very hard then!! As recent evidence on this Forum suggests.
