I don't think the price is bad considering he's running CSL's (at least £1k?).

Are they CSL or CSL style though.

Reps or not, it is a very well priced car for the reasonably low mileage and high spec. Wheels can be changed, and the fact it sits in the £270 tax bracket and not the £460 (?) one is a selling point too.

Sorry, on reflection I my post did sound a little pesamistic. Only based on what I have observed though and my own theories as to why it's gone this way.

I think turbos have a lot to answer for...

We all know they are great cars, but for those for those long term owners it's quite painful at the moment - I guess we need to focus on all the joys ownership brings!

Of the person that was selling the Z4M I refered to - I *think* they were a member here, I don't recall the name though. It was on the market a reletively long time at an astonishinly good price.

And to say once again, it's a beaut. Top spec and clearly looked after, you just need the right person to come along with the cash.

I can't decide if I like the black wheels or not... I guess the new onwer would always be free to respray...

Think your first view was very pessimistic though. I have been getting part exchange prices for a fair bit more than £10k from most places for mine. But do agree with the general concensus of you post with a strong preference to turbo cars due to lower emissions.

If I may make a couple of suggestions? The images don't really do the car justice. Get the roof down. Take it away from that horrible background and get some shots in the countryside or something. Remove the GB badge on the boot. (imediately shouts that it's been over to the 'ring' and thrashed). Probably hasn't. But that was the thought that came straight into my head.
Try and make the car look 'nice' if that makes sense. Some nice interior shots etc. I would 'lose' those wheels. Not to everyones taste.
You have to remember, not everyone has your tastes. You are selling it to a restricted market. The cars looked great when original. A large proportion of that market want a car in the original condition.
There will be an 'older' customer out there that would love this car. But with that sometimes comes a customer that want's it to look classy.
I hope you don't take any of this the wrong way. But then again, what do I know...

Kev.

I would never buy a modified car.

edit- agree about the urban backdrops, ugly, not even a tiny bit aspirational.

So ladies and gents the car is now SOLD.

Deeply gutted to be loosing this car, but as I will no longer be in the country there is no point in letting it go to waste.

Got just under the asking price so was quite happy.

The new owner is actually upgrading from a 3.0L however i dont think he is actually on the board.

When im back in London, I will hopefully pick an M up again, that is if I havnt made my millions and I end up driving around in something Red with a horse logo on it. (Doubtful)

Anyway thanks to everyone and all the best in the future.
