Is he Pondrew's twin?

No, Pondrew has only has only had two Z4s AFAIK - he's just a beginner!

mr wilks used to be a serial Z4 owner but has moved elsewhere and jamie_z4 hasn't been on here lately either.

Apologies to Garrie for spelling his name wrong in my previous post.

I know what that's like!

Iain.
No worries Iain I'm used to it and you're right - I am a serial offender when it comes to the Zed's but hopefully this one hangs about longer than most.

It's nice to be finally in a Z4MR even though it has taken me 22 cars to get there after selling my Z4MC

Is it the ///M in general you don't like or was it the specific car - have you owned any of the other Z4 variants?

It’s not that I didn’t like it, but I realised the 3.0si is probably more than enough for me given my limited skillset and what I’m comfortable doing on public roads. It’s often said the 3.0si offers about 80% of what an M does, and for my level of driving ability, that 80% is plenty. I never quite had the confidence—or the nerve—to fully exploit the M, but that’s just me. I’m still very much a beginner when it comes to driving hard.

On a more subjective note, I found the ludicrous sound of the 3.0si with the foam removed absolutely intoxicating—so much so that I actually preferred it over the aftermarket intake on the Z4M.

That said, a sports car just doesn’t suit my needs at the moment, so sadly, it had to go.

I’ve owned four E85 Z4s now—a couple of 3.0si’s, a 2.0, and now an M. Who knows, maybe there will be a fifth one day 🙂

I was a bit surprised when I read this, but then looking at your first post I saw you said it was your only car and then it made sense.

If my Z4 was my only car I would have kept my 3.0Si but as it isn't I just had to experience an M, and I just love it.

Anyway I hope you enjoy whatever you get next.
