I'm the 5th owner and 3 miles from Bakewell in the peak district national park Darren.

I saw the car on Sunday.

Fantastic spec, great condition.

It was only the colour combination that put me off.

If you are looking for a low mileage high spec car in grey/black then this is your car.

John's a good guy as well

:)

Thanks for that Graham but you do know to you it's gone up 500 quid when you come back begging bowl in hand right? :poke:  All the best with your search mate, pics up when you get one please.

As from this time the car is provisionally sold to a forum member which is great.

Great news! Looks a superb car with my ideal spec!

Thanks chaps, we've done a verbal handshake and the guy's coming up from Surrey on Saturday, obviously it's not done yet but it ticks all his boxes and I honestly see no reason why he wouldn't have it, sales pitch talk to one side it really is a peach, i'll be genuinely gutted to see it go, if I could afford to keep it I would but need the funds for the new 1. :( Ah well I really can't grumble, a new e89 is hardly a make do, i'm a very very lucky boy. :)

Well done. Looks a nice car and I was thinking about contacting you but wasnt sure about the colour combo - mainly because it's the same as my daily (space grey). Also fairly sure I want a Coupe but the temptation for a roadster is still there

Tbh Darren I had all intentions of trimming the seat side bolsters and door cards in red as I think it needs a bit of a lift in there, I've seen a few like that on here and they look great, hence I've gone red and black in the e89. Roadster all the way mate, coupe's look good no doubt but you can't beat roof down hooning.
Thanks very much hopz121, it's appreciated. :)

John, I'm being picked up at 7am to head up. Looking forward meeting you and seeing the car, thanks for making it easy to discuss / agree over the phone :) I'm new to this forum but a long termer on PH and previously M3Torque and the early incarnation Mtorque too.

I've had a good few BMW's an E46 M3 an early 2.5 Zed as well as a 330i and 320d. Spent the last 3 years in an V8 Vantage, but family commitments means something a "little" more sensible to go alongside the family bus is needed. Despite the stiff gear change when cold and relatively hefty clutch for the underlying power, these are great cars and the engine is as good as a 6 gets. Can't wait! :D

Hi Kris, didn't want to mention your name on here without asking you first so please excuse 'the guy's coming up' bit. :)
That's a nice array of past cars, nearly bought an M3 convertible last year but a proper roadster is my thing. The change is stiff when cold yes but it gets much better when warm and it's like loading a Winchester rifle, lovely gearbox, and the engine, well that's just engineering excellence as you'll know, they won't make anything like that again as they need 2 turbo's now to get the same power hence these cars need cherishing imo. Look forward to Saturday, safe trip.

John, no problem at all :D Looking forward to the wind in my hair

I found in my E46 that an gearbox oil change as well as the updated FM oil in the diff made a world of difference to the feel when cold - I think it's a feature of this generation of M' cars, all part of the fun.

Interestingly the Aston had the same thing - could be a pig in 1st / when cold, but drive 200 metres and it was fine.

that was a really good price, id have had that up for 16k and it still would have sold.

kris you got a bargain my friend!!1 welcome to the club.

DOH!!! :headbang: Even with the service needed and taxing though Beedub?

tax is part of these cars and the new monthly setup makes this easy and imo doesn't effect price now days, as for the service id have priced the car higher allowing the customer to barter u down making him and you happy, at this mileage you could have asked for more, sub 40k they go for a fair bit more. This would have had plenty of interest at 16k, have a look at what 16k get you in terms of a z4m in the PH classifieds.
