Z4M Coupe - £16,750

Has this car been discussed on here before? Did a search and couldn't find anything.

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1741158.htm

It's been on offer for ages, what is wrong with it?

Don't remember. Must be the lack of nav

Seriously, that is one cheap car, maybe it missed the 1200 service, can't believe that he can't sell it trade for £16,750? Wonder what he's been offered.

It is difficult to say without seeing it. Has it been used/abused? Colour combi is not popular, spec is not great with no sat nav and the deal breaker of course is the lack of cup holders. :(

Even taking the above though it still looks cheap.

If a coupe has been serviced properly, I can't see how they can be less than 18k and not sell. (Even without Nav!)

Desperate seller, or at least someone who doesn't want to wait.

These cars aren't selling quickly at the moment - mine was sat on the dealer's forecourt for 3+ months. Roadster unsold through the middle of summer, with nav/low miles.

I don't care if i'll never be able to sell it because i love it so much i will probably be buried in it.

Amen to that. 8)

Will be interesting to see how long this is for sale for, it looks cheap to me, not unloved.

I'm sure that Flimper, BaJ, and I might disagree :poke:

I suspect that people are put off by the relatively high mileage as well as the lack of sat nav. The car looks to be well looked after from the photographs, and is probably not long down the line from £800-1000 worth of inspection II service.

That looks a real bargain, full BMW service history as well. If it was a Cayman S with the same spec/miles it would be 10K more.

Pilchardthecat: there may be a few of us viewing these cars as 'keepers'. I'd feel raped if someone gave me £16k for my car at the moment.

I like that colour combi too. The ad. said "Bluetooth enabled and phone charger". These may not be BMW factory fitted options or OEM. I don't think people want to see a aftermarket phone holder somewhere visble inside the car.

I see mine as a keeper too, so I don't fret too much about resale value...In fact, the less it's worth, the less ammunition there would be for anyone who might think it is their place to attempt to persuade me to sell it in the future :D

This one has been for sale as long as mine has ... it can't be a coincidence that the two cheapest on PH are both Interlagos with no nav!

Hmmmm!

It's the mileage and poor spec. That and the fact M cars just are not shifting at the moment. It almost makes me want to buy an M after selling my 3.0si!

Some M cars are not shifting.

The right car, right spec etc still sells fine.

I'm surprised that some people consider Interlagos as a poor colour. If I had free choice again I would still go for IB, I would have considered Imola a tough one to shift. All about opinions. I think it is a mistake to keep dropping the price, just patience required for the right buyer to come along. Maybe some are looking at this car and thinking it is TOO cheap and there must be something wrong with it, without taking a chance and seeing it in the flesh?

I think Interlagos Blue, Silver Grey and Sapphire Black are all looking good for Z4M (especially with black leather interior). :)

Well i specifically looked for an Interlagos Blue one as i think it's the best colour.

I just think 99% of people would rather have a newer diesel Audi S Line something or other, because it satisfies all the requirements that are important to them (newness, badgeness, demonstration of weathiness vs neighbours/co-workers/etc, soft touch plastics giving the illusion of quality). Driving characteristics are fairly low on most people's lists these days.

For the record it had its first service at 2000 miles. Is this too late? I am actually really tempted by this one and have had it HPI checked to reveal a clean bill of health!

It should have the running in service between 1200 and 1800 miles to prevent engine damage (according to BMW)

It couldn't be sold as an Approved Used car and you wouldn't be able to get a BMW warranty.

Whether those 200 miles really matters.....
