A 40 profile is larger than a 35 profile, in this case the tyre diameter is around an inch higher than it should be, which would usually be OK, but coupled with the suspension and the offset it's too much.Dav the wheel nut said:I can't see what the issue is with the profile as they are both 18 inch wheels.

How i understand is that profile is fatness of the the tyre from the rim? So tha 35mm far the edge of the tyre is from the rim... ?
