Z4forum "meet" - weekend of 02/03/04 July

The Crooklands Hotel has a 'pub' at the front so you can get grub/beer there if weather/organising a BBQ is difficult.

BBQ sound a good idea along with some beer!

It will have to be some of them small £5 jobbies from Tesco or somthing though coz I can't see a big ass gas bbq coming in a Z4. For the food might be best if when we arrive everyone chips in a fiver and someone goes to local shop to buy burgers etc plus vegie burgers for Lucy. If it rains go get some pub food?

PCBung, I'll be one of the peeps at water's edge on the Friday, and I believe Siftah's planning on heading up on Friday too, and he's at the other one. So whether you're at either campsite or the hotel, there'll be a friendly face not far away (although Siftah's not got that friendly a face ;)).

Now you know why I'm staying at a different camp site! :)

I'm turning up on Friday afternoon sometime, pitch the tent and kick back.
Snap - I'll be working and leaving about 4pm, so it'll be after 7pm by the time I'm up there.

However is there actually any sort of plan for the evening that we campers should pull together. I've seen mention of BBQ's and so on. Now I'm pretty relaxed and can survive on a glass of wine and bag of chips, but experiece from regualr Jeep events tells me we just need to have an idea what, who, how, etc. or it will become 20 people wandering around and ending up in the pub.

I can bring beer or wine, but not a BBQ (only because on the M6 with the roof down it will spoil the look) Happy to cook too if needed.

I'll be bringing a BBQ which fits in the boot: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=3773985&l=76b87fb8ee&id=506477021&subject=Mobile+Uploads

You can pick those up in morrissons for about 15quid at the moment, or I'd suggest the disposable ones for a couple of quid.

Organising food will be difficult with the numbers being variable, so I'd suggest everyone tries to bring their own food and then nobody will starve :)

Taz, just cancel your holiday and grab a sleeping bag, you know you want to!

No Taz and no Woots but still maybe 40 possibles. Looking like it's going to be a good weekend

I've E mailed the routes to Tweed who's going to check the instructions for any obvious errors, happy to send out to people the week before so you can fix the route in your head. P.M. me your E mail address if you want them. That way we may minimise losses :)

But if things go wrong, at least I know a good chip shop in Hawes :)

off topic - why are algeria wearing camouflage

They're keeping a low profile, most of them are wanted in southern Spain for burgling English-owned holiday homes. They probably realised half of the people watching this match may recognise them.

fanks siftah, makes sense, i was going to suggest they should be made to wear high viz jackets

Thank f*ck I have no interest whatsoever in football :) Another draw and you guys still pretending we're potential winners

Not sure about potential winners... just so disappointed at the current cavernous void between individual potential and team performance

Anyway, the meet... are you lot going to get plastered on Saturday night and trundling along at 10mph on Sunday?

Hoping if I get clients drunk enough, fast enough I'll be able to slip away mid Saturday afternoon and be with you all before closing time :driving:

If I leave Henley late, and arrive very late I'll try, on arrival, and keep the revs to a minimum
