Volvo S60 T5 - great car. Very comfortable for long trips. The 2.3L Turbo engine has turbo-lag but it was great for Highway driving. Very good acceleration for passing.
I like the Z4M Coupe but it gets uncomfortable after 400 km.
I drove a 1990 Porsche 911 for 13 years and 185,000 miles. It was a great car in all ways...
However, as much as I enjoyed driving the Porsche I give a slight edge to the Z4 simply because it's a roadster.
I love my Z4 but still my favourite car I have owned was my last one, the MINI Cooper S John Cooper Works.
I was just ready for something different after owning BMW MINI's for 5 years!
Wish I could have a afforded to have both!
Of all the cars I've owned, well there's not a lot of contest
I've had a dodgy old Mk2 VW Polo (sold for ÂŁ50 when I got rid of it) then a Rover Metro Quest thats was in practicly new condition despite being about 10 years old but I still prefered the heap of a Polo.
To a 3.0l Z4.... hmm, the Polo was fun at times but.... well... you can imagine
I have driven other cars since the Metro which was sold a few years ago now, mostly the old folks 2001 VW Polo TDI, I'm still trying to stop using the diesels low rev range when in my Z4
My original Mini - a 1963 would be right up there as it was fully specced as a Cooper S by the time I had finished and loved it as my first car. It gave me freedom (and women)
My current Jeep CJ10a is amazing - well off road, but so much pleasure driving it to the Artic circle and all over Europe in challenges and competitions. Admired by everyone who sees it and you cannot help smiling while driving in such an impractical V8 Truck...
The favourite as lame as it sounds is the Z4, simply because it's the first out and our roadster I've owned and it's designed for fun not practicality. Powerful and elegant.
I loved my Honda S2000, fantastic looks (it was bright orange ) and great performance, a real driver's car. I also had an MGF which gave me 2 years of totally trouble free driving (yes I was very lucky). The Z4 is the best of the lot. Stunning performance, looks good, fantastic spec and has got not one but two prestige badges
20ducks I came very close to buying a 1969 Volvo E1800 S coupe. I think it was an "S" and was wondering what did you like about yours and were they any dislikes?
