Z4 upgrades

I see what you mean about the centre bracket on the bumper.

Is it really needed though? Or is there too much flex without it?

Looks like you have your aero skirts fitted too.

I can't decide if I want to go with the quad and m bumper route or just fit my carbon fibre rear diffuser.

Under high speeds, yes the bottom of the M bumper will flex.

At no cost and taking not much time, harvesting a section off the orginal bumper and the fitting took all of 20 mins

Looking really good guys, don't think anyone has done so much so quickly before. Still prefer the original rear lights, though I must admit to slowly waking up to the fact they do modernise the rear somewhat.

Ranski did you say you needed different looming for the rear lights, as I thought it was just a reprogramming job?

No mate, just a swap over - there is a very small flicker on the led stripe at the top and a bulb out on the dashboard, but a recode will sort this.

You do need to swap the pins in the loom plug over in each light. There is a thread on here explaining this.

Guys the cars look great, excellent work

A little green with envy tho  !

Amazing how a few mods do transform the look of a car, in this case for the better

So what next.... :poke:

I only have one more mod to do... 'Angel eyes'

I'm currently butchering a spare set of lights for this.

Just buy an M, good effort all the same!

Don't need the extra power, nor the running costs

Besides, it's all about meeting new folks, modifying the car, then sharing the knowledge.

I agree with Ranski, I have had performance cars a nd a 3.0 litre in a z4 is enough and what both of us are after is a better look.

Looks awesome

What bodyshop do you guys use in the east mids?

Mines in the garage this week to get my door repaired (after someone decided to drive into it in the car park) and sideskirts painted and fitted, but they are very pricey.

Well fitted all myself but had the bumper, side skirts and spoiler painted by Thurmaston body works.

cheers... i have an M bumper to get sprayed up may find out how much they want.

Dropped my car off this morning.. and they said they would use ceramic lacquer to the side skirts as its tougher... but at £400 for the pair painted (fitted for free as i am also getting my door fixed) i would bloody hope so!
