Hi all! I'm thinking about changing the steering wheel on my '55 2.2iSE - it's pretty thin and puny and even my girlfriend's Fiat 500 has a chunkier feel to it
. Any thoughts on this and where I could source a wider rimmed replacement, preferably OEM BMW or from a dismantled salvage? I've not got cruise or connections to hands-free phone or radio so don't need a wheel with any functions other than for turning!
Also - I'm thinking about retro fitting a piano black interior trim 8) - BMWMstyle provide kits for around £500 - again has anyone done this on the forum or is it a professional job?
Finally - any thoughts on how I could squeeze a little more power out of the 2.2?
The answer to all of this would be to go out and buy a properly specced 3.0 but finances won't permit
and my 2.2 has done sterling service so I'm trying to get what I want by a little bit of expenditure and some retro-fitting rather than visiting the st(d)ealers and having to rely on finance.
Thanks for your help!
