Z4 Roof Motor Replacement

Yes for sure! My 2007 Z4 roof motor replaced two times by BMW Dealerships and it is ready for the 3rd. replacement at a Cost of $ 2,500. I love my Z4 but the money I've spent on Roof motor's , is breaking the
Bank account.I need help !

You need to get it over here mate and have a holiday at the same time. A guy not a million miles from me will fix it virtually permanently for just shy of £600. You need to seriously ask/question your dealerships competency for the work they carry out and charge for. Sue 'em man, they are not fit for purpose. Must have the patience of a Saint :headbang: :x :x :x

Hey Jerry, I just tried adding your email address to several hundred porn sites so they would spam you, but they all said you're already on them... :poke:

Hi bowser134
Is this service up and running?
I may be interested in the new year. Seems a good preventative measure.
Have you any photos of the finished product in the boot?
Cheers
Daz

would like to have this done as long as the price is right. maybe we should get a group buy going? assuming bowser wants to do it.

Get to the back of the queue :poke:

I asked this on another thread but got no takers, as of yet.

Is the roof motor always located on the left side of the vehicle or is it passenger side (left in the UK, right for the rest of us)?

I am interested in relocating the motor to the trunk and thus far, the only folks that have done so are in Germany or England. And you all ain't easy to get to...

There is a place in Harrogate that now relocate the roof motor in the boot somewhere and charge just short of £600 all in and that is using a new motor not a refurb one. If, or should I say when mine goes i will definatley be taking mine there to get it done. If you just go on Ebay and put in Z4 roof motor you will see the item

I would have thought it would be located in the same place on in both LHD and RHD cars

Howdy, Firebobby.

That would be my impression as well, but before I went digging around in the trunk (which tends to get rather violent) I wanted to be certain. Things like solo placement of same random part gets complicated between our two nations...

Answered in the other thread - always on the left side

Should be getting my one done next weekend by Bowser

Are you getting a new motor installed or just getting the existing one moved? If the latter, what's the cost of that, if you don't mind me asking.
