That looks like real commitment considering the price of similar Z4's. I guessing your very passionate about this particular Z? All the best with the rebuild and we look forward to seeing your progress

I can’t believe this is worth fixing unless it has sentimental value, given that working Z4s in reasonable nick can be had for buttons. If you’re not in the UK it may be a different matter, though.

If yur in need of a front bumper, I have a facelift yu can hav for free if yu wanna collect it. I'm in wolves west mids.

I stand by my previous comments......surely a windup....because let's be perfectly honest.......unless this Z used to be owned by Lewis Hamilton why in the world?!?! :poke:

Why? When finished it will be a nice Z. All cars going through a respray look like this during the process.

Hi all,

I am in desperate need of the front lower splash guards if anyone has seen any for sale.

To the people criticising me for repairing the car. I really got my hands dirty refurbishing the engine in this car fixing all common and uncommon issues, had some real fun in the car too. The "bump" only damaged the bumper bonnet and the re-enforcement bar new parts approx £570. The full respray is being done for £500. whilst the front end is off i am changing all belts and water pump.

I have had many cars (still own 2 other cars) including ones much more powerful than the Z, but on a summers night nothing has been more fun to drive and isn't that what owning these types of car is about. Some people drink, some smoke, i have abit of fun in my ZED.....

Place your parts request in the "Buy and sell" section, you should get some attention. Facebook marketplace is a good place to look. If it is a six-cylinder, try to replace the water pump, thermostat, and all the hoses. The gasket between the oil filter assembly and the block is also a common source of failure. Good luck with all your effort and keep us posted!

New paint job has been complete.

whilst the car was in pieces, I have taken advantage of being able to change waterpump to upgraded metal version, thermostat and belts.

Next it will be put back together, polished and a ceramic coating applied.

Good luck with the rebuild, looks like a heck of a job!

I will be getting rid of my scratched (but otherwise fine) bonnet if that is of any interest at all to you - free of course.

Serious respect, please post photos of it when done, I bet it'll look amazing. Will you stick with the existing wheels or try a different style?

Great job, Court1987. Very well rescued
And £500 for a full respray is remarkable...did you go for a special colour or something else? Looks like it has a purple hue to it.
