Anyone here have any pics or even seen a Z4 with racing stripes? All I could find with google search were the racing Z4 coupes. I have a 2005 3.0 dark gray convertible that I think would look good with some black racing stripes, euro style. What do you think?

Example of the stripes on a Mini:

Only mine would be down the driver's side. I am in the US.

Don't quite like that red. I always wondered what a nice, dark blue one would look like with white "cobra" stripes. Someone did do a Photoshop of some "ghost" stripes that looked ok.

I'd say get some contact paper and give it a look first before committing to permanent.

If you have customised the zed overall to a race track theme and it's a part of that theme, then possibly OK. To do it inisolation on a sterlng grey zed would imho look aweful.

I've only see one with them - a blue coupe with fat twin end to end stripes that a friend of a friend purchased. Changed his mind 10 days later and traded in elsewhere. The BMW dealership had to remove the stripes to sell it.

Sytner Coventry had a z4 coupe with stripes a while back (brand new) - grey with charcoal stripes. - didn't like it, but someone must have bought it.... ... or had them removed.

I think white stripes like this, on a blue new shape could look ok...

I wouldn't do it, mind ;)

Mmmmmmm.......No!

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm.....No!

Buy a Nova for that kind of stuff :P

Absolutely and categorically no.

Racing stripes look fantastic on Mustangs and Corvettes, both cars I adore, (and I was fortunate enough to drive a black Shelby GTH Mustang with gold racing stripes across the states) ...............but completely inappropriate for a Z4 in my opinion.

tbh.. i don't NOT like it....
but it's the car's curves that make it not as good as, say, the viper.

on our car, the bonnet is higher than the wings / arches, and it creates an convex curve
wheras on the viper, where it all started :P, it's arches are "higher" and it creates a more convex curve (same as the mini):

Which works great... I think you'd get away with it on a flat bonnet too, but our bonnet is just curved wrong for them imo

It's your car do what you like! I would not but the gray stripe above looks good and it's another way of making your car "Your" car.

and.. finally, the rear of that grey zed earlier posted:

Will probably get shot down in flames here but while the above picture is like a holy grail regarding Z4's and does look undeniably cool, I can't cope with the fact it has the most rediculous lower air vent I have ever seen on a car.

it just doesnt look mean and menacing. More smiling in a kind of goofy way.
