z4 only track day ?? anyone interested??

Well up for this. Only 5 miles from my home and I've done a fair few runs around the old circuit.

Scariest place in the world if you get it wrong so your warnings are well placed, but with nobody else on the same bit of tarmac nobody make you go fast

My only issue is I'm working Mon to Thurs in Ireland. Can do any Fri, Sat, Sun, although you've already ruled out weekends.

I quite fancy this, but whether I can attend will depend on the date.

If you haven't filled all the places when the date is known then I'll attend if I can.

(I can do photos too if you get stuck, I've done a fair amount of sports photography).

A friend of mine is a fully qualified race driving instructor. I could see if he's up for coming along and offering (paid) tuition to anyone interested?

i think i misunderstand the idea so just to clarify for me are you talking about doing this like a sprint so one car at a time do a timed run and then join the back of the queue or as an open pit lane traditional day where we are all out on track together?

on a slightly different note, how are you covering all of the liabilities i.e damage to the track, each other etc.

either a sprint style or the track day sounds good to me so for 60 quid im quite keen dependent on the dates

Are motorbikes allowed? I have a Zed, but I'd quite like a go on my bike. :D and its about 10 minutes from me too.

would prefer to give this a miss to be honest as i think it may put people off that this is more serious than it is if you know what i mean, i just want people to come and enjoy, go as slow as you want or a quick as you dare, i will be using every last drop of power i have available but its taken me YEARS to be able to do it, and i always always start of slow as the surface can be abit unpredictable for grip levels.

if i get that list unto 20-25 we'll start talking dates and then ill email dave and book the thing....

And have others have said give the zed a proper drive which you can't do on main roads

My car has more power than I have skill. I think that is true for a lot of us (if we are honest with our selves) but this is a great way of us all getting some practice and at least attempting to readdress the balance. Not only that we can talk cars and help each other out. I am sure the more experienced drivers will offer help advice if they can.

Can't wait but it can't be yo soon I need to get my car running right first!!

this is the attitude.... start nice and slow and gently build up, you will quickly feel when your uncomfortable and back off, absolutely no pressure to go fast, intact my first 5-6 runs will be nice and slow, warming tyres and brakes, learning grip levels and the new circuit layout is completely new to me, so I've got some learning to do myself, I'm attending a track day in 3-4 week their, so ill take some detailed pics and bump this back up :-)
