Had my m coupe for about 7 months now - best car ever owned. BUT
I am just about to start fishing again after a 10 year rest from it. This presents me with a real problem - how do I get my tackle in the car and how do I keep my car interior clean.
The main problem is my rod bag, as I have found the only way to get it in the car, is in the passanger foot well and across the front seat then in between the headrests. Had tried it in the 'boot' and between the head rests but would rub on the head lining - likely to mark it.
As it will be lying across the front seat I am considering buying a pair of nylon seat covers from halfords to make sure I dont mark the seat with the rod bag. I am however concerned that such seat covers may damage the leather.
I will also use a seat cover on the drivers side as I am likley to be a little muddy after fishing and dont want to get the seat dirty - Champagne leather!!!??
Has anybody else tried using such set covers / protectors for fishing trips or similar. Any advice really welcome. Shitting my pants taking the M on a fishing trip.
