Z4 M options/value

Now the reason for asking; I think I've found the best value for money z4 m around at the moment but it's red without nav or cruise. Fortunately I have my ways of making it an even better deal "because I know a guy"

I don't mind not having nav, bmw system is s*** anyway, but cruise I would like. I don't know how long I'll have it for, but I want the residual to be strong enough I can sell it on without having to a) smash the price, b) wait for aaaaages

(10 points for anyone else who finds it... and a slap in the head for making life harder for me...)

I actively didn't want sat nav in my M and wouldn't have bought one that had it.

I can understand that... but you'd want to make some sort of saving as a result of that right?

Not very red is it now Bing :D

Very good price for a dealer though, must be a rough one from close up.

Reason for posting - ANOTHER imola red with massively low miles :o

Gonna keep searching, I want 10 points and a slap in the head :D

^fixed

Anyway, no that's not it, although it looks nice.... it's sold :(

...and what was the asking price?

Don't know on the asking price - just replaced with 'sold'. Be interested to know given recent purchases we've had on here.

I bought on colour, condition and history, not toys. Mine has to be one of the last registered and only had 12k miles on it. If it had been older with more miles i would have done. Shaving a few hundred quid on sat nav never crossed my mind, when the cars that good and hasn't got a feature you don't want you don't argue. :D

Well I specced cruise from new and IMHO it's s**t on the Z4M, particularly when you hit "resume".

I'm guessing it's not like the M5 SMG where you come to a stop after setting it to 90-odd-mph, hit resume, the system panics and acts like launch control to get you back to 90! :driving:

...does it not hold the correct speed or that it isn't able to adjust effectively?

Definitely heated seats - not sure how hard they are to fit retrospectively?
They mean I drive with the roof down in all sorts of cold weather

Cruise was easy and cheap to fit aftermarket (not sure if that's true with an M) - maybe cheaper than speccing it from the factory!?

I retrofitted cruise control on my ///M and it works very well. In fact, in the summer I comfortably drove over 800 miles across France in one day using cruise control. The response to pressing resume is a little jerky but that's a consequence of the engine having so much torque.

Interesting, I thought the M was nearly impossible to retrofit and required all sort of coding that the non M did not require?

Not at all. The only problem is that the control has to be spliced into the loom (unlike the non-Ms where there is an available socket)
My Indy did the whole job in an hour
