From ones that I have seen on eBay over the past year, they normally come in singles and at around £250 each

Seems a crazy price when you compare against new - the last 3 singles I have watched on ebay sold at £88, £99 and £78 plus relevant postage according to my watch history on ebay.

Just a shame now that I have the spare funds non are on there apart from these!

been reduced to £600 now :) got a quote for a brand new set month ago and it was about £740 delivered (they are not mine by the way, I am after a set with black inners).

That on my prices Ranski?

Was doing a search for clear costs after seeing that ebay ad and saw this:

http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=31894

So does that post mean you paid £230 per light?

Just trying to judge the actual current market value of these things!

just checked my ebay history and yes i bought mine separately for £120 and £160 so a total of £340 (inc of postage)

PS i bought these over a 2 month window as i also missed out of other single lights for sale

I guess the price of these is high because they are a set, so a lot less hassle- but i wouldnt pay over £500 / £550 - but all depends on how keen you are for a clear set

How much are those aftermarket ones that a few of us have bought?

£300's is a level I'm comfortable with - the want for clear fronts doesn't quite stretch to £500 - £600.

Think the aftermarket sell for just sub £300?

Will keep an eye on eBay!

I really can't believe how prices have gone up... I paid about £160 delivered for both...

I blame CJ...

yes!

TBH the best mod i have carried out is the most recent, angels. They are a must, along with clear lens

I agree with this. I won one on an ebay auction for £130 but couldn't find a matching one anywhere, 2 months later I ended up paying £200 to a forum member when one came up. At the time I thought that was bloody expensive but judging by current prices It wasn't a bad deal!

I know this is stating the obvious but remember even if you pay £500 for a pair, your old ones should be worth £100 each so once you sell them on the net cost of the mod is 'only' £300.

I'm planning another attempt at some Angel Eyes, but even as somone who's done it before - i'm not sure I'd trust myself cutting up my clears :?

All my fault - I admit it...

I used to pick up odd z4 lights for £10 to £20 if they had damaged tabs.
Worht it at that price to chop up

Happy day though I've just converted my XF to xenon and paid just £120 total for 2 near new xenon lights. Cheaper than a horrible hid retro kit.... Jag uar guys are now all over ebay like a rash looking for lights :)

Good point about damaged lights. Even crunched ones would be ok if the clear strips were intact. Hmm... :)

Might chuck my clear facelift xenons on eBay this week at no reserve and see how they go.

Are they broken or in full working order :)

It`s crazy to think some of us would pay near £500 for a couple of clear plastic strips! Probably cost 0,50p to manufacture.

I`m amazed our friends over the water in Germany`s - tunning world havn`t come up with something? and easy mod. They always do, for any car.

By the way a little advice; German ebaY sells cheaper units, and the postage is reasonable...just a heads up. And easy to change to right hand drive light.

On this forum, there is a chap who is currently looking at making a mold and re-producing the indicators, good luck to you!

If I had the money I would re-produce the rear lights. Designed with a fresh look. The Break/Light would become a circle of LEDS. And the same for the round indicators. I think that would set off the pre-facelift Z4 perfectly...a kind of Lotus Exige look, but better.

Whilst I`m at it- I would (achievable) I would stick some LED MD Bulbs -in the front indicators. I might even start a new thread on this

I still keep looking at these (Depot) headlights flying around ebaY as mentioned in this post. Do like the looks, but some pictures; the halos and the eyebrowe`s look too (Halfords) blue, chavstick!?

you can change LHD to RHD? you sure? i though you would have to reposition the internals, which would be guess work
