Z4 Hard Top Wanted - ANY Condition considered (to make Fibreglass Roof Moulding)

Terrible show from that member Moheddine. Obvious question but is there no signs of him at the location where you dropped the hardtop off to him??

I’ve just picked up this thread - very diasappointing behaviour. I hope the fella feels suitably ashamed - I do hope there is such a thing as karma!

I suppose it’s easy with hindsight to say that why would he want to use somebody else’s top when his picture shows two cars with hardtops?

Have you involved the Police?

Great idea, I’ve just donated.

It’s a little annoying that the site take effectively 10% in fees!

Cheers. Is it not 5%?

Please don’t think I’m criticising, what you’ve set up is great, but it’s just these companies make money out of people who have had problems, charities, etc.

Can’t remember exactly but it appeared to be 5% for one bit 3.5% for another bit + 20p so for a £10 donation it looked like a £1.05 fee.

Well done you though.

I get you.

It is a bit frustrating, but to be fair taking card payments costs them, plus the risk of handling financial details can be very costly so they have to make their money somehow.

That said close to 10% could be considered excessive.

Anyway, it's a nice simple way to get this up and running so hopefully we can get some way towards a replacement

I’ll chip in £20 and I’m sure so will others as just like me the great guys on here hate hearing that fellow members have been ripped off.

Shouldn't be too hard for the feds to track down...

Thanks for this info C8H18 and mac27040. Gary came and collected the hardtop from my house in his work van, so I didn't have these details previously.

If he's close by I'd go past and have a look. After reading this I wouldn't be surprised if there's a zed on his drive with your hardtop on it!

Good shout - but I think he wanted it for some racing zeds he had. I don't think he had a road zed, I think they were track only. That being said, it's not a million miles away so worth the visit as you say. Nothing to lose!

Hard tops for his race cars ???
Both cars have hard tops in the picture he posted - something doesn’t add up.

Have you involved the police yet?

It looked/sounded like he had a few zeds and was wanting to do a race series where people could effectively lease them. I think the hardtops he had may have been sold on or borrowed, but am only guessing.

Not yet, as didn't know his DOB and address - only had his now defunct business address and mobile number - but am currently getting legal advice. I'm not sure how much can be done though.

Please refrain from posting up personal address and contact details - fine to PM them.

Is this a forum rule? Apologies if I've overstepped the mark, but I couldn't see anything in the forum guidelines:

Is it acceptable to post a link to an eBay listing (or any other webpage) in which somebody provides their contact details?

Happy to PM gfr_86's contact details (address, email and mobile) to anyone who wants it...

Apology accepted.
Forum rules/guidlines cannot predict every eventually; I have decided it is prudent not to post the address or contact details in this topic - this is an open forum and we do not know where this situation may lead.
