Z4 G29 Delivery Delays

[ref]Russ Z4[/ref], I think it's already of the production line mate, this is the paint you asked for?

I’m probably sounding like a broken record now… but seeing yet another M40i March order being delivered (on Facebook) is a right kick in the teeth. Complete with anniversary badges too so defo 2022 when the spec went in.

So that car still got to it’s new owner quicker than even if I accepted the incorrectly built car from my slot (which won’t be arriving in the country for another couple of weeks anyway - that’s if it’s not further delayed)

All this is information you should be imparting to your dealer and asking what the feck happened to your order. I'd be kicking up such a stink over your situation, it's bad enough that people who have ordered after you have had their cars long before you, but to get your order wrong on paint colour and interior beggars belief. You've also alluded to the fact you've had problems with this dealer in the past and that this order was a chance for them to rectify previous issues.

Whilst I appreciate we are all different, you really should be giving them Hell over all this.

Don’t worry, it’s all going back - not that I think it’s having any particular impact. “Hands are tied, hands are tied”.

The funny thing is, I had resigned myself to buying anything but BMW - but they said, “this is the opportunity for us to make good on everything”.

As I said, I’d hate to experience what a major f**kip is like. Mind you, their mistake ending up with me getting arrested could probably be counted as one of those.

Or that time when the car engine caught fire when I driving down the motorway… (125d - about 18 months old, owned from new). BMW clearly knew there is a fault in this engine.

Or the number listed times where you book for the first service in the day, you get the notification that the service is finished a couple of hours later, yet there you are sitting like a lemon waiting for the car to be returned to you (usually another couple of hours later)

Or the time that you drive across the country back from a meeting to test drive a car - and the car isn’t there…

Or the time that you invited to come into the dealership on a specific day, you walk into the dealership, there’s nobody at reception and everybody ignores you.

I shouldn’t be begging to buy a car ffs.

It’s nothing but a complete shambles. Totally embarrassing.

And now the person dealing with my issue has gone away on holiday for a fortnight and the issue hasn’t been handed over to anybody else to deal with.

Just stinks of a dealer mess up cover up.

That’s exactly what happened to me in Harry Fairburn, Glasgow. I asked to speak to the Head of the dealership as I was leaving. Pointed out I’d been in their premises for 52 minutes and no one had even spoken to me except the guy who sod hello as we were getting BACK into our car. It was him I asked if the boss was in.

Boss appeared and I got the “really sorry” “what can we do to make it up to you” patter. I said you can do nothing, I’m going to Edinburgh in the morning and if I like the test drive I’ll be ordering one. He said that if we liked it, phone him and he’d beat their deal by at least £500. I feel I may have saved the £500 but ended up in a position something like yours, I don’t feel it would’ve gone smoothly

Utterly utterly miserable situation for something that was meant to bring a bit of joy. (My partner has MS, had a stroke and other resulting medical complexities that has left her with limited mobility. This was meant to be a way of getting her out the house, having the roof down and getting her outside in the country)

It’s been nothing but utter misery.

I’m resenting the whole thing.

Again, just more ammo.

I'd be bullet pointing everything, printing it out, and showing it to the dealer principal and ask them just how embarrassed they are over this series of monumental cock ups. I'd be asking for an expedited slot, an agreed delivery date and compensation either monetary or future servicing etc.

I haven’t got time for court on top of everything else too!

I think I’ve learned my lesson though. No more BMW. A dominatrix is cheaper* if I wanted to get ****ed to this extent.

*ive heard.

That’s not the service you would expect from a more Update Brand - i think you’ve been more than patient

I think you should only talk to the Dealer Principal.
The minions will do nothing other than cover their own backsides.
