Z4 G29 Delivery Delays

So frustrating. Totally get where you are coming from. Sent you a PM yesterday - but can't see it in my folder so I'm not sure I messed it up and closed browser before sending it. But yeah, it's just the wait game for both of us I guess.

Doesn't help that I'm in communication with a guy who is looking at a 14 week delivery from ordering (for a 30i)... according to the status codes, its about to be shipped.
 
From what has been written here, the short supply situation also seems to have allowed the Dealers to become blasé about their customer service.
 
Its hard to argue with "there's people getting killed in Ukraine".

But yeah, this is the time where dealers could be doing the above and beyond stuff.
 
I tell you something, this weather isnt helping matters...

Now this is very interesting

currently in email conversation with the dealer -

"On top of this, you have a frozen paintwork which will always take longer and BMW have since stopped production of the M40i engine in the Z4."

a) I haven't ordered frozen paint...
b) M40i - whut? It's certainly still there on the BMW site...
 
I'd be straight onto the phone to the dealer principal [ref]Russ Z4[/ref], sounds like they are a tad confused.
 
As above. Contact dealer principle. You haven’t got frozen paint and the m40i is certainly still available to order.
 
Im so done with BMW. Never again.

Phone call from dealer this morning to sort out messages from yesterday - is it stuck at the port, is it not? Why has it suddenly had a month added to the delivery time?

So yeah, the car has been built.

Wrong colour. (I didn't order frozen paint - car that's been built hasn't got frozen paint either... so don't know where that came from) Wrong colour seats.

Dealer confirmed paperwork - mess up at the factory, not the dealer end.

If I want what I actually ordered, I'm looking at December/January (of course, no guarantees on that either). No fast track, no nothing, just back to the back of the queue as a new order.

Livid.
