Your a very patient person Rad, I ordered mine mid July, arrived 3 weeks later, no choice on spec and very limited colours ,I suspected it was a fake deal as it was all a bit too quick.
However, it was real!
Hopefully yours will arrive on time and with all the options fitted.
Just been driving mine through the snow for a weekend away,for a convertible it is so comfy and refined and the boot is massive.(relatively)
I am sure it will be worth the wait.

Something definitely amiss there, ordered mine 14th June and I’ve had it two months, it should most definitely have been built by now. If you have the order number you can contact BMW Genius online and they will progress it for you.F1SpaceMonkey said:

No, its not a lease. I've contacted the dealer a couple of times but got zero info other than approx months. It's so near to March and the new reg its pointless pushing for it before March. Although as more time goes by i think i'm "getting over" wanting it and 100% will not be accepting it without a touch screen if potentially what i read is true.
Spoke to my dealer.
They are saying week 10 it should be with them. This makes more sense if it’s now at the paint stage 152.
So it seems likely mid March is possible for collection, so a 22 plate. That would be 33 weeks since placing the order!!!! All blamed on chip shortages.

Update from Genius chat today "The current status of your order is In Transit or Storage. It's estimated to be delivered the week commencing 14th February 2022" which I assume means its either on its way to or at the port awaiting a ship.
I believe that the Z4s made by Magna Steyr ship via Bremerhaven to Southampton: https://www.walleniuswilhelmsen.com/schedules. You used to be able to track by VIN but they have removed this capability. There are two sailings this weekend, hopefully mine and others are on one of those.
Coincidentally, if the vessel is the Tijuca then that's the ship my Mustang arrived on in 2017 (via Baltimore and Zeebrugge though).

hi Peter - I've just checked in with the Genius team on the status of mine, it is also in Transit. If you ask them they will give you the current status code, which gives an indication of whereabouts in the delivery process the car has reached. Mine is status 193 which shows it has arrived at the "Port of Exit". I too thought this would be Bremerhaven, but when I asked them they told me it was at Cuxhaven. Delivery date has also slipped a week to 21st February since I last spoke to them - hopefully it won't slip any further!!
Hi blaster1956 - I forgot to ask for the code but I'm sure its also 193. I specifically asked for the due date and they confirmed w/b 14th so odd that yours may have slipped. I see that DFDS sail this route 6 days a week with a 20hr crossing time to Immingham from where I believe our cars will go to the BMW Distibution Centre at Thorne near Doncaster for PDI before being sent to our Dealers.

I read that when I was waiting for my G31 in 2020. Only cars delivered through BMW UK are PDI there. If it’s delivered through dealer, PDI still takes place at dealer. Both my G31 and G29 were PDI at the dealer despite the G31 was stored at the BMW distribution centre for 2 months due to first lockdown. The G29 was sent to dealer straightaway from Southampton.blaster1956 said:

Dealer video message update this afternoon: "...Your car is due to land any day now...due within in the next seven days...its with the delivery truck..."
I just hope that its a dry day for the ten mile drive home or perhaps more concerning would be snow/ice. I have SMBO's agreement to pop it in her garage for a day or two so I don't have to freeze whilst playing with all its 'features'.

I'm not sure what's happening with mine, it is still in Cuxhaven (as far as I know) waiting for a ship. Date has also now slipped another week to w/b 28th February.
