Z4 G29 Delivery Delays

Well it’s not the dealers fault and I think BMW should be the ones doing the compensation. As SARS has said. Our cars have literally hung at every step and every update delays delivery by 1-2 weeks.

Had I known what I know now, I never would have sold my car.

Btw. The dealer was absolutely fine with delaying the car until Jan. said he totally understood. Tried a bit of salesman talk saying that it’s the same plate, but backed down pretty quick as he knew the reality.

I’ve been fair. I’ve agreed that if it does arrive in November then I’ll take it. That does require it to arrive a week earlier than it’s current estimate and obviously no further delays!

Any update on yours? Mine has gone from pre eu port of exit to port of exit which should mean it is at sea any day now.

Now what’s going on with yours? Delivery is the same….for now.
 
[ref]ori[/ref], I’m not chasing, it seems pointless as all it does is frustrates as it isn’t going to make it arrive quicker. :(

But on a beautiful autumnal day like today, I surely miss not going out for a drive with the top down. Fair warning, if anyone posts a picture with them enjoying their G29 in todays sunshine, I will not be held accountable for my actions :poke: :D

Exactly. We should both have been enjoying roof down depriving today.
 
Oh and now it’s at sea I have a date of the 5th of December delivery to dealer which is more precise compared to the previous which is a general week estimate.

I’m collecting my car on the 3rd Jan. I’ll be jet lagged which won’t be fun, but at least it’s a 2022 car. ;)
 
My Dealer just called with an update; anticipated delivery has been brought forward to February from March, I can cope with that although I would prefer it to have a 22 plate but at least it'll be a 2022 model and without the mandatory speed limiter nonsense (I hope!!).
Touch screen confirmed as deleted, also a component of the Active Park Distance Control is deleted too although I'm not sure which bit, maybe someone else can confirm this?
£500 price reduction on delivery which might just about cover a full tank of E10...

Interested to see your Z4 is due Feb, when did you place your order? Mine was due October but then delayed until Feb/March but no feedback from the dealer yet.
Also, what’s the detail about a speed limiter as I have not heard anything on that topic.
