Hi Craig,
Will be flying solo for the lakes weekend. Our lass wants to watch Wimbledon all weekend in the hope that Andy wins it for once. Please change the Friday meal booking accordingly.
Really looking forward to my third lakes weekend. Not long to go now.

Hi Craig, Like Grumpybri I will also be solo. Long story re Saturday centre court tickets which I won't bore you with. So, only me for dinner on Fri night. Sorry to mess you about. :driving:

Yes, remember last year it poured the whole week upto the Friday then stayed dry and reasonably warm all weekend,right upto Sunday early eve.......what's more, its been great weather the past 2/3weeks for most of us...I am staying positive that it will be dry/sunny all or most of the weekend, Jim, as it has been every other year; fingers crossed :D :driving:

For the benefit of saving ppl having to trawl through the entire thread, I have posted an Update to PAGE 1, AND am doing so here, regards ROUTE INFO(general outline),MEET LOCATION/TIMES,ETC. is on PG.11(and pg.1). RAFFLE-PRIZE INFO is on PG.11; TICKET PRICES/INFO IS ON PG.12.

Had a request from the CROOKLANDS, for those going to the Friday night MEAL in the Hotel, that if possible, we could look at the Dinner menu and let them know our meal choices in ADVANCE......
DONT WORRY IF YOU DONT WANT TO/ARE NOT SURE WHAT U WILL WANT ON THE DAY....As I don't intend to pick my food choices a week in advance,lol.

I know they are asking so they can give us better service(less wait for our food), but I would rather, personally, choose on the Night.

Let me know, if u want, folks ...the CROOKLANDS MENU FOR THEIR JULES RESTAURANT is on the crooklands.com website, for any1 who wants a look :thumbsup:

(I would rather not be taking meal orders though, ha-ha)

Wondering whether to give a good wash this weekend and then hope she doesn't get too filthy over the week, or gamble on Thursday or Friday bring nice for a wash and polish then 8-)

Weather not so great today in Scotland or Kendal...
but the FORECAST from various websites; Accuweather, bbc, etc., list next FRIDAY as cloudy but DRY, some sunshine, low of 11c high of 19/20c with a low(3-9%) chance of rain....
SATURDAY to be highs of 20/21c most of the day, MAINLY SUNNY SOME CLOUD COVER, lows of 13-19 in the evening/thru the nt.(only 6-11% chance of rain)
SUNDAY to be 20-22c through the day(lows of 16-19 in evening),generally SUNNY,WARM just 3-6% chance of rain

SO..LOOKING LIKE GOOD WEATHER FOR THE MEET, ALL GOING WELL :D
