Weather not so great today in Scotland or Kendal...
but the FORECAST from various websites; Accuweather, bbc, etc., list next FRIDAY as cloudy but DRY, some sunshine, low of 11c high of 19/20c with a low(3-9%) chance of rain....
SATURDAY to be highs of 20/21c most of the day, MAINLY SUNNY SOME CLOUD COVER, lows of 13-19 in the evening/thru the nt.(only 6-11% chance of rain)
SUNDAY to be 20-22c through the day(lows of 16-19 in evening),generally SUNNY,WARM just 3-6% chance of rain

SO..LOOKING LIKE GOOD WEATHER FOR THE MEET, ALL GOING WELL :D

Heres hoping that forecast is correct Craig :) :) :) .
My wee zed has been a bit neglected over the past 2 weeks, has had to sit outside as I was building a new shed and needed the garage to store the wood.
Will be giving her some tlc and several coats of best of show this week :D :D  .
Will need to contact you to see what arrangements are for travelling down on Friday,me and Mrs D6GMB are looking forward to our first national meet    .

Ste;d6gmb/Graeme,
I Managed to get mine washed, polished, waxed and some nanolex roof sealant, and nanolex wheel sealant put on a few weeks ago, and a good wash and top-up of Dodo juice purple haze wax today(despite the showers).

Graeme,
Will give u a phone thru the week, re my travel plans, if u want to convoy down.
Plan to leave late a.m/early afternoon Friday, get there in about 3hrs (or less) if memory serves me right.....so get there in plenty of time to put tent up and get to the meal for 6.30ish :D

Yes, hopefully sunny and fairly warm..but as long as it is dry, I don't mind tbh/always had good or v.good weather for these meets, so fingers crossed :driving:

Here's hoping the decent weather sticks, and I look forward to catching up with you all on Sunday (hopefully with jaRED and JDM)

Was out Ribblehead way last weekend too - thought you petrolheads would like to see a photo. (I was about 300 bhp down on the vette!)

Don't get me started on this topic Tom...oops, too late, lol

I was one of the several people who felt the National meet (from year/day 1) should be z4-only as its A National meet, has mag article, etc, etc....and keep non-z4 inclusion for smaller, more localised meets, if that's what suits those organising them.
However, with so many previous meet and forum regulars from over the past 3-4years or more (who have attended Regularly and still want to), having bought a non-z4 in recent times, we felt it wouldn't cause too much upset if we allowed some non-zeds...
with the understanding they stay at the back of the MAIN Z4 GROUP, so as to not get amongst any potential photos for inclusion In the mag articles I organise/co-write, on our z4-forum annual meet, that appear in BMW MAGS...hence why it would look odd if a we had pics with non-z4s, lol.

Hope no-one takes offence to what has been a change to a rule I enforced myself(but was certainly not alone in my op), but it's felt this was the only way we could not EXCLUDE previous forumites/z4-forum friends, from our big meet, and also keep this meet as good as its always been.
If any1 has a problem with this then :P (joking)

Look forward to seeing u there(and every1 else of course), and ur lovely Silver-Grey z4 coupe......the ONLY colour I considered when looking at the odd Coupe M :D see u soon, mate :driving:

RAFFLE TICKET SALE INFO......

THIS YEAR I am going to ask any1 who is coming to THE SUNDAY ONLY DRIVE if they want to BUY RAFFLE TICKETS.

The simple reason for this is that I am trying to raise as much money as is possible for the very good cause I have previously mentioned (in memory of fellow forum member cj-eds),
USUAL RULES APPLY...I will be DRAWING THE RAFFLE ON THE SATURDAY, but will keep any prizes for those attending on SUNDAY ONLY, and give them their prizes(if applicable) on the Sunday , AS BEFORE, I WILL NOT BE POSTING ANY PRIZES OUT TO ANY1 WHO LEAVES BEFORE COLLECTING THEIR PRIZE..IT WILL GO TO ANOTHER FORUM MEMBER..as some/alot of the prizes would be too awkard and costly for me to post out to various winners.

ALTERNATIVELY...if any1 wants to make a simple DONATION (EG £5 OR £10) TOWARDS WHAT WE RAISE, THEN LET ME KNOW.
This is for a good cause after all folks :)
IF U WANT TO DO THIS, PM ME AND PAY VIA PAYPAL(as a gift).

On another note...routes are finalised (great work, john/sammyz) and are sure to please everybody as always /incorporating some of the best bits from all previous 3years :driving:

Hi all/Craig,

This is our first National Meet - looking forward to it but I have a question:

We're camping - what happens on the Sunday? Does everyone have to pack up their gear and carry it in the boot on the Sunday run? Do we have to clear the campsite by a certain time?

Or

Does everyone return to the campsite at the end of the Sunday run and then pack up and leave?

Let me know and thanks,

Paul  :driving:

Paul...don't worry about it..you are meant to vacate the Campsite by 10a.m(I think), Officially, BUT, as we have used this site for 4yrs now, the Manager/owner is always very happy to let us leave them up all day Sunday..tho some do take their tents with them on Sunday morning...I just don't like it kicking about my boot during the run, so leave it up and we return to the site after the meet and dismantle(doesn't take too long), say our goodbyes etc. /have a quick drink(late afternoon) after the Drive.
Some ppl prefer to take it with them and head home rather than back to the Site; it's up to you mate, but NO you don't have to, and I won't be :D

I was just joking! No offence meant and the more the merrier!

Looking forward to it! :driving:

I know you were Tom, just trying to clarify things so nobody gets upset at the time, lol

Yes, be good to see ur lovely shiny z4 coupe again

Tom, since I/we never got round to it last year, fancy putting together a small article for your paper this time round/ tho will need help from you in order to make it different from the Articles that me and John will do for the BMW CARCLUB AND BMW CAR MAGS...that sound like a plan, mate?

Let me know at/after the meet

Depending on the weather, I think I may stop Sunday night as well and set off home on Monday morning taking in some more local scenery. I presume I can arrange this with the manager or owner over the weekend.

Yes, I am sure that will be fine, just ask her when you are there, shouldn't be a problem.

Yeah, hope so...if the forecasts are correct it will be a sunny and dry weekend as usual for this meet, Brian :D
