Fantastic work with the raffle prizes as always Craig.......Top Man.

Cheers Jim.....
i dont think i will be able to top this years in the future though,as i have went from £3-400 then over £500 in raffle prizes in past yr's......now nearly hitting the 1k mark, which was more than i even expected/was aiming for £700worth,haha.
I approached twice as many companies who didn't give me/us anything, than the number of companies/people who did...so may have exhausted ALOT of avenues for the future, lol.

RE THE RAFFLE,My/Our Aim for this year is to raise £300-ish folks..so as mentioned elsewhere, any passengers attending can take part in the raffle, and anyone not able to attend, who wants to donate can also do so;given that its going to Mcmillan cancer IN MEMORY OF CJ-EDS(CARL EDMUNDS)...A fellow forum and meet member/attendee.

Thanks Craig, you've done a great job organising

Cheers,as has John (sammyz),with the route-planning,which will be finalised soon :D :driving:
Routes are going to be a combination of previous 2/3 years routes, and if possible, may take in the Hardknot pass(which we have never got round to doing/i dont think)......tho this is still to be decided/subject to peoples wishes.

ROUTE INFO...for those who have been wanting to know it.

Its deliberately vague, as we don't want to put too much info on the net, but gives a general idea of whats what.

MEET POINT IS THE CROOKLANDS HOTEL CARPARK, Near Kendal, Cumbria, LA7 7NW.

Saturday drive- Leave Crooklands hotel car-park @ 10 A.M,for Lindale and to Batemans for tea/juice break, etc then to Pennybridge towards Coniston. Comfort/toilet stop at Coniston. Next to Ambleside and then Thirlmere where we will have lunch.
After lunch we head for Penrith /Troutbeck and Ullswater, etc to Windermere via the Kirkstone pass. After which we head for Newby bridge and then back to the start-point in plenty time for getting the Raffle drawn and bbq sorted out(sun permitting, as it always has) :D
Aprox. 110miles.

Sunday drive- Leave start point at Crooklands hotel car-park (Kendal),at aprox. 10.30 A.M, heading for Ingleton and Hawes,1st break. From there up over the Buttertubs pass & to Stonesdale, etc and the Long causeway/Barnard castle, etc and onto Alston for Lunch.
After lunch we head to Penrith, via the Hartside pass, etc etc and then head back Crooklands.(late afternoon).
Aprox.147miles.

Please make sure u have a FULL TANK OF PETROL in the morning...Petrol station 5mins from Crooklands car-park has Super unleaded, as does Shell 10mins in opp. direction :driving:
Please drive within your limits, and at a speed u are comfortable with, and only overtake if u are invited to do so by others.

SLIGHTLY MORE DETAILED INFO WILL BE HANDED OUT BY ME AND JOHN,with our mobile numbers on if u need to phone us/get lost.(never usually a problem, lol).

Big Thanks ,as always, to John/Sammy z, for getting the routes sorted out for us. Much appreciated

Oh,YES ,almost forgot the good news...John will still have his lovely Imola red M Roadster for the meet, and will be the main lead, along with myself and probably one or 2 others when needed(to give John/me A break), as I/we will take turns as back marker also.

This year there will be the MAIN GROUP...around 30-35 z4's (at present), over the course of the 2days....and a Small(2nd) group behind the main pack, possibly consisting of Guiseley/Tony (in his lovely Blue Cayman S); John M/JDM(in his shiny new Red TT), on the Sunday, and Laine/Dave1971 (in his Blue 3ser)on Sat/Sunday?......that is, if they can make it :driving:

Hi, first time on the forum, wife and I would like to join the run on Sat n Sun for the first time too, if that's not too late.

How's things, and hows the z4 theses days? see u at the meet :driving:

After some PM's on this, I thought I would post info on RAFFLE TICKETS.

These will be available from myself and whoever is helping me out, on the Friday night, Saturday morning before we set off, and(time permitting) at the Saturday lunch-stop as well/if need be.

Raffle tickets will cost
£2 for 1 ticket
£6 for 4 tickets , and
£12 for 10 tickets.

This is a slight increase over previous years, but not by much;50p to £1/2,respectively........and is down to the fact that in previous years the Raffle prizes were worth a TOTAL of around £4-600, this year I have secured prizes totalling nearly £1000.

ALSO, in previous years we have given to Cancer charities chosen by forum members present at the meets, though not one's directly linked to any forum member in particular........
this year however, we are raising money for Macmillan cancer care in memory of Forum member CJ-EDS/Carl Edmunds, so are hoping to raise AROUND £300 (last yr we raised £265), If possible.

Raffle rules apply as before, Tickets will be Drawn on the Saturday Immediately after the Drive, for those who may be heading home
This year I will be putting forum members names on the Backs of the tkts (lesson learnt from last yr,haha)..though previous rule applies...IF U ARE NOT PRESENT AT THE RAFFLE OR STILL nearby TO GIVE THE PRIZE TO(for those who win them), ANOTHER TKT WILL BE DRAWN. This is due to the Impractical issue I would have in posting out RAFFLE prizes to folks, not to mention extra costs involved, given the size/weight of some of the prizes.

The Raffle will be open to both Drivers and their Passengers this year though, and unlike last year (where I limited it to 1 prize per person), it will be a limit of 2 prizes per person, with the 2nd prize limited to a smaller item...this is purely to give as many people as is possible the chance of winning a raffle-prize, no other reason.
Hopefully everybody is happy with this, if not.......... :P
I Hope this answers any questions any1 has on this, but for any more info please feel free to pm me, cheers :D
