Don't suppose anybody has a spare seat going? Unfortunately my farther, who was also a forum member passed away earlier on in the year which meant the Z4 had to go. We were both really looking forward to coming and I would still love to come but somehow think a 1.4 Polo may struggle to keep up! So if anybody has a spare seat going it would be much appreciated and they would be quite welcome to have the OEM iPod interface I removed from the car prior to sale.

Hope somebody can help, it would be much appreciated as I would really love to join in and meet you all.

Aww, that's really sad. Sorry for your loss.

Hope some kind soul will give you a lift and you can go for your Dad.

I'm going to keep a close eye on the weather. If it's forecast to hiss down on Saturday I might drop out.

As some of you may know I had a very near miss last year at 70mph (err well I think it was... ) when I hit standing water unexpectedly on a dual carriageway. Thankfully it was only pride that was damaged and a few suspension parts on the car. It was one of those moments when you think "is this it?". I'm now very wary in very wet conditions in the M and don't really fancy a hoon on roads I don't know in wet weather.

As Craig says let's hope the forecast changes and improves as we get nearer the time.

Really sorry to read about your Dad mate. I can't help (unless you're ok being in the boot?) but it would be awesome if another forumite could. So, come on guys, any Manchester based people with a spare seat?

original guvnor, i'm hoping to be in the biscuit group which opefully will be slower, my licence is very important, why not join that group

304 miles for me according to Google, however after much deliberation and indecision between the two of us Mrs Bing and I have had to decide that we won't be driving them

Smeg, thats a shame, I was hoping you would translate for Craig - at least we still have the Zedfest to meet up :)

Better news from me - looks like I'll be fit for driving at least part of the route, so I'll see the rest of you there.

Ok, so I'll be coming from Thetford (almost Norfolk) on Friday. I'd like to book in to do the Friday evening dining (I'll send a PM) but if it's full that is ok. Me & Mrs Aebous (last year we weren't married yet) will be staying over Friday, Saturday night, & slim possibility of attending Sunday drive...

It may be a bit interesting for me....I've got practically a new car considering I haven't tracked (or even really hooned it) since putting on the 3 series cheap brake upgrade, oh & the Michelan Pilot Super Sports (latest release), oh and lets not forget Bilstein shocks with K&N springs.......

Bugger, the weather is looking bad for the weekend. The met office have issued a weather warning for Friday and Saturday for the North West. http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/nw/nw_forecast_warnings.html

I found out last Thursday that roadsters and big puddles do not mix.
:(
