I have noted over the years that renewals are usually a lot more than they should be eg the RAC wanted to bump it by £200 last year but a visit to confused.com got me in with Hastings at £265 for my Z4 35i fully comp, £0 Vol excess max 5000m/year. This price bumping on renewal seems to be the norm these days, presumably a lot of people simply pay it!
 
With many providers the renewal bears no resemblance to the first year's quote because the renewal is pitched nearer the true market rate and the initial quote was what they had to do to win the business in the first place.

Our rates are pretty consistent if nothing has changed in your circumstances during the year - no major fluctuations.

Unfortunately, Chris Knott was unable to quote me at all as I'm only 22, I asked about flexibility due to owning my Coupe for over 2 years and having a 3 series as my previous car (Was my first car also), 5 years no claims also!

I will need to check back in 3 years time when I'm 25!

..Unless there's anything you can look at doing for a forum member? :wink:
 
I'm afraid the access criteria is quite rigid but we have had enhancements allowed in the past.

25 (with 12 months experience of the car or one of similar performance) is the current minimum requirement on Z4's I'm afraid - http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=837028#p837028
 
I've been trying to get a quote with Chris knott but the experience hasn't been great so far and thus not filled me with confidence. What if I were trying to sort a claim out? I have been on your website and filled in the details even though I have had a quote from you before. I’ve had one call back, about a week later and at an inappropriate time for me. I explained to the person on the phone I was unable to speak now but would like a call back between 1 & 2pm the same day. No call came.......

I will send you a PM in the hope that you can call tomorrow lunch. My insurance is due at the end of the month so time is of the essence.

Thanks. Last year you had quoted me "happy" but unfortunately I was just testing the water as I was already with another provider. That service comes to an end at the end of March and I will not be continuing with them so hopefully you can be competitive. I look forward to the call.

just wanted to say i dealt with a lovely lady called Kathy and she was very helpful and i ended up setting up a new policy with Chris Knott as the price offered was very competitive, would recommend people give them a call/email and see how they get on themselves :thumbsup:
