Z4 Cupholders BITE

I've had to replace these damn cupholders 3 times and even though I am very careful with them, they are BOTH broken AGAIN :headbang:

Does anyone know where I can buy these outside of the dealer? I'm thinking I should just go buy several pairs and learn how to install them myself...geez

Thanks in advance for any info (and sympathy but something tells me many of you can relate)

It's an easy install and Tischer should be a decent supplier. Wrong computer, no favorites right now.

X2. The DIY threads on the various forums are excellent and replacing the units is very easy. I've had mine replaced under warranty and no longer use them as they are so fragile. I'm thinking about ordering a pair of "Ultimate Cupholders" to use instead. http://www.ultimatecupholders.com/ Several forum members have these and are very happy with the quality, placement, and versitility.

Half full can of soda has no problem.

THose SIlo Drinks from 7-11 are not allowed. Do not pass go, go directly to the Dealer.

What's broken exactly?

I personally think the OEM cupholders are the greatest: being right by the air vent gives you the great advantage of being able to always have cold water...

Hey, I dont have any cup holders? I know where they go though. can i fit them myself if i buy a couple off the dealer? and how much?

cheers

And just to set the record straight, my cupholders have never seen one of those obscene 7-11 drinks, just regular soda cans and small fountain drinks...honest totally normal stuff.

I got them from www.ultimatecupholders.com

The metal tongue on them simply slides up under the center console. The weight of the cup is resting on the floor, so the holders don't have to be fixed in place.
Center of gravity is kept low for performance :P
