I thought I'd share a few pictures of a recent trip to the New Forest with a friends E-type.
The weather was showery and in the New Forest there's a 40mph limit as the ponys are liable to ignore the traffic and wander into the road at anytime!
So it we had to take it steady ... but were able to let the cars loose on the way there.
The E-Type is a stunning car and very comparable to the modern Z4. It has a 4235cc engine developing 265bhp, giving 150mph top speed and 7.0sec 0-60. For you techies it weighs 1240kg, and has quad coil / damper independent rear suspension with inboard discs and power-loc diff, torsion bar front suspension , 4 speed all syncrhromesh Jaguar gearbox giving 55mph 1st gear, 82mph 2nd gear!
The raw performance of the E-Type is remarkable considering the age of the car ... close to the Z4. The most obvious improvements in the modern car is the refinement and comfort for the passengers and the fact that the brakes work!
