Z4 35is exhaust tips change help?

Hey all,

My 35is tips imo are a touch to small, and im not keen on the brushed finish. These are welded on and need to be cut off to be changed. I am how ever happy with the way it sounds.

I saw some M exhaust tips at the dealers a few days ago but I do not know enough about exhaust modification to know wether these would fit. (67mm internal diamater from what I remember)

Does anyone have the measurements for the 35is tips and wether there is a certain internal and external diameter criteria that needs to be hit?

Thanks!

Did someone not put X6 tips on and they looked really good. I think there was quite a bit of work to get them to look right though.

Think it was X5 tips. Do you need to cut the old ones off?

Mr Wilks just changed his so he can confirm but Im sure on the 35 models the tips need cut off

Yes old ones have to be cut off.

This is a thread with the car I was thinking of. The exhaust tips just fit so well and the slash cut just looks like a factory finish.

Did he make the tips too?

No they were bought in . I made one visit where he had a range of samples to offer up . The bigger ones left it looking very 90s Nissan Skyline :D & the smaller ones just didn't do the car justice .
