MX-5 for £10 - £11k
Then get a turbo fitted and everything else it needs.
Replace the suspension and tyres too.

I've upped by budget to £25k so my search for the front-runner begins: a 981 Boxster.

Slim pickings currently, but I'm in no rush

Oh yes please Mrs. That would go like a rocket powered roller skate. Rear tyres might not last long though. Sounds perfect. :driving:

There's a review on Pistonheads of one that's up for sale. 270 bhp at the rear wheels. 302 bhp at the fly.

Love the little things. Have been running around in my son's MK2 1.8 all weekend, while my Zed is in for a bumper respray. Mrs G has a 2013 MK3. Not quite as much fun as the older model. Still a great steer though. If I was a few inches shorter in the leg I think I would get myself one too. But the MR has a lot more leg room and it's not lacking in the fun department either. So I guess it's staying a while longer. :D
