Bit of fun, Your first concert, Who, Where, When.

Me. Iron Maiden. Glasgow Apollo June 1980 I was 16. 8)

the jam, before they hit the big tine, on the local playing fields - greenfield

Uriah Heep, the Grand Theatre, 1971, tickets were $8:50.  last concert was the Who, tickets were $200 apiece :(

Been to so many I can't remember but the last Ozzfest at Donnington was one of the best ever, right at the front for the whole day. Have seen Rammstein 3 times, they put on a great show.

Not 100% sure as it was the time I started going to concerts and hit 2 or 3 quite quickly,

So I'll go with Queen 09 August 1986 @Knebworth Park, supprt was Belious Some (one hit wonder), Status Quo (One hit wonder 147 times over) and Big Country (Fookin Brilliant).

Last one was Meatloaf at Leeds Castle.

One that was surprisingly good was the Glenn Millar Orchestra at Melford Hall a few years ago, brilliant summers night and a huge picnic.

Saxon - then a local Barnsley band before NWOBM hit, then Iron Maiden, Motley Crue, Bon Jovi and any other rock bands that came to Sheffield City Hall during the early / mid 80's!

Still going strong with tickets for another 4 or 5 bands tucked away for later this year (inc Leeds Fest with the wife and girls)

Was meant to be going to Journey / Foreigner with SWMBO this Wednesday, but had to cancel to allow me to slip off to Le Mans instead :exitright:

Lol, wasn't born for some of these, wish I could have seen queen or Nirvana. First concert was probably Reading 1997, Pennywise, Marilyn Manson, Metalica, Eels, Blink 182, Millencolin, the good old punk days (well punk revival days)!

Dire Straits On Every Street Tour Birmingham NEC 1990 aged 16 (born middle aged)

Last Concert - Neil Young Glastonbury Warm Up Gig Aberdeen last year

December 1991 Newport TJ's and a relatively unknown band called Nirvana. My benchmark experience for understanding the words carnage and unashamed energy.

My first 'proper' concert would probably be Genesis at Knebworth in about 1990. Went straight into work the following morning after arriving home at 6am.

Went to a few before then (particularly the Eurythmics) but I think they were more about just going to a local concert with friends than actually going to see someone I particularly followed.

Ummmm....The Merseybeats in about 1963/4, can't recall exactly as I was only about 10 years old and went with my Dad.....LOL.

Most embarrassing? Got to be Sheena Easton when she was a goody twoshoes, i.e. before Prince raunched her up (relative term!)

Before I say who my first concert was, I have to try and restore some credibility before hand and state some of the big names that I have seen live, Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton, The Rolling Stones, Eagles, Dire Straits, Fleetwood Mac and Genesis.

But the first was......Nik Kershaw..... yes hangs head in shame

Canned Heat supported by Renaissance at Birmingham Town Hall 1969.
 I think my second concert was Canned Heat with the Pure food and Drug Act and Harvey Mandel plus a few local bands.
Awesome concert  think it was 1972,

My buddy hitched to Edmonton to see Vanilla Fudge back in 68 or 69 I wasn't allowed to go. Only 13at the time

The warmup band was LED ZEPPELIN.....on their first tour.... :headbang: :headbang:

Supergrass, Glasgow Barrowlands, 1996. I was 18. Closely followed by Blur, The Verve, Radiohead, Eels and Ash. Been to hundreds since then but still haven't managed to see The Foo Fighters or Muse.
