its been great to hash it out really and i think what it comes down to is How bad is the stock setup for you??? how would the stock dampers feel with the eibach kit??? id love to know??
why would YOU like to upgrade from stock??? where are you feeling its short comings? i guess what would be your aim for a new setup??

Principally to eliminate rock hard rear suspension, provide better (ie more comfortable) ride, stop traction control light coming on all the time on twisty b-roads. Not really noticed front-end lift or diving under braking that are troubling others but i'd be the first to admit i might not be as skilled a driver as some of you. A road set-up rather than track because I don't envisage tracking my car really.

i would try something like the ACS setup john has..... from reading what hes said, it sound like his kit answers all your issues...... buying these bits new however isnt cheap :-(, suspension RARELY comes up second hand.... i think ive seen about 4 sets in total in my 5 years of being on this forum.....

Byron, I also find you a great guy too and very much like the fact that you can DISCUSS a subject without it leading to any kind of argument :thumbsup:

I accept being challenged on anything I write, because I know that by participating on a forum we are putting ourselves there to be shot at. Of course I will always defend what I've written if I think it should be defended and I can reinforce what I've previously written if it's been challenged, as do most posters. :D Perhaps my near-perfect spelling and grammar ( :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: ) style of writing appears a bit too formal? (There's a joke in that...)

I agree with Exdos the oem suspension isn't quite good enough on our bumpy roads, rear feels noticeably stiffer and the front dips too much under braking. My car however, remains fairly stable under braking and doesn't seem to suffer from snap oversteer never has.

Fixing the geo was a big improvement for me in feel, grip and handling, that includes less dsc light flashes but as Exdos said it won't help the damping issues. Still I would recommend anyone having understeeer issues gives the CSL settings a try first.

KW V3 would be my choice for an upgrade, I'd go for a good road set up, I'm lucky enough to have some great roads locally, but I'm in two minds on whether to go for it or just to change car. Saying that I've lived with it for 4 years and it's never bothered me enough to change so why bother, it's still a hugely capable car and driving it is always good fun. Decisions, decisions.

Beedub that kit of yours sounds far to extreme for my usage but I guess it works for you.

Daz... Your probably right.... However I'll be upfront and honest after more time, if indeed the clubsport is just too much.... I will start again and buy something new.

Right now it feels fantastic and really fits in with the ethos and usage of the car.

as im up with anthony who's decided he's going to be sick ill carry on in this discussion.

this video clip with the Gayman and toybota really kinda make me think about handling on a B road.. They even LOOK like they handle well!!! but 28k????? WAY too much imo!!! RALLY impressed with the toybota.... Also the nissans head rest is bigger than my house :rofl: :rofl: :headbang: :headbang: :driving: :driving:

Tried googling AMD and don't really get much. Any pointers please? Personally I felt right away that the OEM suspension never felt balanced and should be better for a car in this class.

A DIY installation of KWV3 or ACS Racing. :D

If you want to go that way, I'm sure that Byron and I will give you any help/advice you might need with the installation. Before I did my recent install, I couldn't find any easy to follow instruction of trim removal to access the rear top mounts but I'd be happy to pass on to you the way to do it, which is actually very simple and requires the removal of very few parts. :thumbsup:
 
I'm still undecided on that particular course of action, still I did the springs before so that's half the battle I guess.
 
If you've swapped the springs yourself, there's not much else to the job. If you were to go down the route of aftermarket suspension, I'm sure you could remove it and sell it on here as secondhand and not lose much money, if you wanted to sell your car at a later stage.
