Just out of interest, how many M cars were space grey? I didn't even know it was available. Anyone here got a pic please? - E86.

Only 2 coupes and 1 roadster according to Taz's info. One of the coupes was for sale last year, a 58 plate. No pics I don't think, although not sure you could tell the difference with Silver Grey.

The roadster was for sale this year - had 16k miles on it and was selling for... £16k. I was briefly tempted given how rare it is... However lack of funds and lust for imola red prevented me :D

Really ? I don't remember seeing them... Loving 'Lesser Unicorn'

I drooled over a Space Grey M Coupe for sale in BMW Manchester last year, around September. It had 8k miles on it from memory and was for sale for £25k!!!! The missus thought I was mad! I didn't realise at the time that it was such a rare car, but talk about top price! It did look good in that colour, but I'm a massive fan of silver grey which I think suits the car even better.

But would the wrong colour, for you, put you off.
If the car was specced to exactly what you wanted, good mileage, full dealer history, good condition, good price but wrong colour. What would you do?

For me, I've had cars in most colours (yellow, red, blue, black, green, silver, purple.....) so I'm either colour-blind or colour-agnostic. I prefer the latter term
So, on answer to Carol's question, its a factor, but not the deciding factor.

If its the wrong colour, yes it would put me off completely. I'd just wait for another to come along as I'd not want to keep a car long term if I knew it was not really what I wanted.

For me, on the Z4 those colours are red and silver but both for different reasons, yet some forum members have extremely nice examples in these colours.
Ok, I may just take Bedubs car as a straight swap for mine 8)

Forgot about Pheonix yellow... :fuelfire: :poke:

There's also plenty of combos of interior colours I'd reject too, typically the bi-coloured leathers just don't do it for me. The black I have in mine was a compromise for getting a well looked after car from a forum member at a good price, but I'm on the lookout for some cream coloured seats

A good well specced car would do it for me as long as the colour was palitable. I like all the Z4M colours apart from Sepang, Pheonix and white. I wanted carbon black, with red leather ended up with silver gray and black and never looked back. After all the M is a manly car so it has to be in a manly colour

Plus a perfectly specced Z4M coupe is pretty hard to come by as there are only 550ish, minus write offs in the UK.

Space grey vs Silver grey in the light space grey has a tint of purple, whereas the silver grey is silver in hard light and grey in shadows this one sums how it looks
