You have £1000 to spend on your Z4. What do you do?

I have been enjoying my standard 2013 sDrive 20i for a year now and have put aside £1000 for performance improvements. :D

I have done a little bit of research and am thinking a remap to 260hp and a set up upgraded discs and pads sounds like the best use of my grand, but before I splash the cash thought I would ask the Z4 'hivemind' for its thoughts.

My only disappointment with the car is the engine/exhaust noise it makes (or rather the lack of it), particularly at start up and lower revs when its rather rattly. Can this be improved?

Cheers

Hi, some owners have had the front silencer removed with a bit more exhaust noise being released but you’re stuck with the “blowing” sound on cold startup as I think it’s emissions based.
After remapping you won’t be thinking of the exhaust so much 8)

Have a look at Steve Smith's thread/posts on modifications he has done to his Z4, some really good mods for the money and very tasteful too IMHO.

Wheels already taken care of!

Switched from 19" run flats to 18" non-runflats early in ownership due to it being my daily driver and a fair bit of motorway work.

Looks stunning Vimes (guessing you are a Pratchett fan?)

I prefer the 18's over 19's, just think the car looks better.

I would also highly recommend a stubby (aerial) too :D

You have to link the alloys and tyre setup for this !!! Its beautiful

The only things I've bought are a Weathershield boot liner - American and expensive, but good - and sheepskin protectors to stop the belts marking the Ivory White alcantara.

It doesn't need anything else.
